Shafer Dismissed per SI

Why not a guy from Fordham, look at his current roster, kids from lot of different places as well. Not a huge splash but a proven HC

He has proven himself and won A LOT of games at Fordham. He'd be a good hire.

Not sure where he'd rank on a Coyle list though. Might be towards the top of a Gross list if Gross were doing it again; I'd have to believe the 4th time around for Gross that HC experience would be a pre-req.

I say no to this guy.

We NEED a Head Coach, not a coordinator.

(sorry, off my soap box now)

I'd prefer a Head Coach to. That would eliminate Frost and Sanford.

I'll be very surpirsed though if Coyle hires a total unknown from a pool of candidates. It's going to be someone he's crossed paths with.

Agree - but how does that work? Do they know each other? Wouldn't Frost want to hire his own guys?

If you tell Scott Frost I can get you Eddie O, but he wants to be DC, are you going to say no? He is a recognized top shelf recruiter.

Learned a lot about what not to do at Mississippi, did a good job at SC, great backstop in running the program.

If would probably be a short term hire, he wants to be a HC again, but it would be a win/win for everyone.

Right I don't see how Frost would be against bringing in someone like Ed O.

Kind of like breaking up with that person who is really really nice, but just isn't the one for you.

Wish SS the best.
So Coyle went with the, "It's not you, it's me" move? ;)

I'm glad you believe everything you see on social media and the news. Do us all a favor and don't vote next year. You obviously don't care to know facts.

What facts?

I think he'll be considered but I'm not sure he'll be considered for the HC job. Think associate HC/DC alongside Frost.
If Miles is let go he might come as AHC/DC, but that will be up to the new HC. If it isn't then the new guy won't be worth a damn.

If think so - but these guys are ego driven by nature. It might make the job more attractive or could be the opposite.

They know of each other for sure - both were coaching in the Pac12 2010-2013.

Yeah, I mean, are we hoping for things to implode at LSU?

I think they already have. Any leftover LSU lurkers?

No way Miles would even consider going to a new school as AHC/DC, especially if it's at Syracuse.

I think that was referring to Orgeron. Worded funny though
