Too bad. Siena falls short 75-72 despite a 31 point effort by Gavin Doty. Siena fought back from an Iona 12 point 2nd half lead to take a 2 point lead themselves but then their shooting went cold. Too many 3s by Iona.

Siena loses 63-59 after a valiant comeback from being down in the first half 29-10 after a 15-0 run by Merrimack. They'd cut it to 2. Down 3 with 4.1 left, Doty was fouled taking a 3 point shot. A 77% FT shooter he missed the first 2, but then trying to miss the 3rd, and have Siena get the rebound, it went in. Doty was scoreless in the first half going at least 0-7. Siena as a team almost couldn't buy a basket in the first half. Doty had 14 in the the 2nd half including a number of 3s. Merrimack plays a very mean 2-3 zone all the time. They also shoot 3s and FTs very well. But they don't rebound. However, they are a very well coached team.
