Siena loses 63-59 after a valiant comeback from being down in the first half 29-10 after a 15-0 run by Merrimack. They'd cut it to 2. Down 3 with 4.1 left, Doty was fouled taking a 3 point shot. A 77% FT shooter he missed the first 2, but then trying to miss the 3rd, and have Siena get the rebound, it went in. Doty was scoreless in the first half going at least 0-7. Siena as a team almost couldn't buy a basket in the first half. Doty had 14 in the the 2nd half including a number of 3s. Merrimack plays a very mean 2-3 zone all the time. They also shoot 3s and FTs very well. But they don't rebound. However, they are a very well coached team.

Between their bottom of the country 3 pt shooting and now some major cracks in the defense ( gave up 15 3s on 35 attempts to SHU) there are some bad trends forming. Siena shot 32 pct from 3 as a team last year.
