Signing Day Press Conference | 4:25 PM

I wish we asked at least these 5 questions…

1) did you look at one specific position in terms of need to address?
2) anyone else in the HS ranks still have a chance to bring on or are you done and looking at transfer portal for any new additions.
3) Demetrius Samuel being the highest ranked recruit and a big time flip, do you promise the kid anything?
4) Thoughts on committed kids taking visits elsewhere?
5) How do you attack kids that are committed to other schools. Do you reach out and gauge interest with their hs coach or wait to see if they are open to other schools.

I also hated how they never got into the QBs..:the are good kids who embody the character they want…but like um can we ask if they can sling it!
Sounds like you want your own interview with the staff.
Get yourself a podcast and some media creds and go for it.

The size and length of our OL recruits reminds me of Kirby Smart's class last year...Maybe not as skilled, but Kirby brought in like 7 OL of 6'6''-6'7''...One of the kids was from Buffalo...I speculated last year, that maybe 1-2 kids who might jump into the Transfer portal might give Cuse run...Apparently, Kirby thinks a lot of Fran, and I wondered if a kid on the UGA that got beat out might considered Cuse for more playing time...Lots of Athletes too...Couple of kids who play QB who might end up in the slot or a WR...

As Cuse fans, we always lament about not being able to win the big One with all the recruits in town...We finally did it, and I'm hoping the excitement around the franchise brand grows exponentially!

GO ORANGE!

With all due respect, nobody cares about what the GM of the football program has to say about the recruits.

It only matters what the head coach says. Big miss by the SUAD. And I would guess with nearly 100% certainty, big miss by HCFB.

I'll add -- it looks absolutely ridiculous having 12 people up at two tables for a press conference.
That’s not really giving all due respect…

This is so dumb

Fran has empowered his staff from the moment he arrived as a means to get them exposure and future opportunities for career advancement. That's an attractive quality as a leader. To me this bodes well to recruit and hire future/up & coming recruiting rising stars. Being the nation's top recruiter doesn't have to stop at the on-field talent level...
THIS!!

We're really grasping at straws now to make negative posts on the football board. Appreciate the hustle and effort on this one though.
No we’re not , some of us disagree , I needed no hustle whatsoever.

This is so dumb
It’s an opinion on a message board. You disagree. I gave the reasoning behind it. If you believe it’s dumb, fine. Thanks for offering your opinion.

Fran is just getting started. The portal is where we land our immediate impact players. And that’s where we can have the greatest opportunities short term to close.

Anything to keep my mind off basketball.

Imagine having a first year head coach go 9-3 and still hating on him for anything possible

Weird flex but to each their own
How is asking him to take part in a press conference that every other head coach in our program’s history and the vast majority of major college football programs have “hating”? I said it was a miss. I still believe that. That’s my opinion.

The way this board handles even the slightest criticism of the new shiny thing is baffling. Fran did a good job his first year. He’s not perfect and can make mistakes too. And guess what - he’s going to make many of them, we all do.

Hey man, I said to each their own

And with all due respect, I couldn't care less what he has to say. The head football coach is the face of the program.

Do other top programs have their GM & a bunch of staffers on a stage?

Notre Dame - Head Coach - Tennessee - Head Coach - Josh Heupel Signing Day Press Conference (Dec. 4, 2024)
Georgia - Head Coach - https://georgiadogs.com/watch/series/2024-football-signing-day?Archive=27324&type=Archive
Ohio State - Head Coach - Ryan Day holds press conference on national signing day class
no which is why Fran is so far ahead of the game

Oh thank god, I thought I was going to have to do it, just like I do EVERYTHING around here. Thanks for stepping up.

They have to make sure we don’t have any recruiting violations so if they notice them they can send them right into the NCAA!!!

ESPN has us #33, which sounds good until you realize Rutgers is #24.

The ratings really dont matter once you get past the top 15 or so. We beat a bunch of teams that on paper had much better classes than SU. Look at our DT and our DB basically kids that were not rated. Fran and this staff put the work in i trust their system as first season it proved to be solid.

It not a miss. Fran goes out of his way to support and promote his entire staff. He is simply doing what he preaches by letting them be in the light. It is a great way to show his appreciation for their hard work. To let them know they are important. I think its great and it is a quality that almost all great leaders have. Fran thinks out of the box and this is another example of that. I get your point but if you look between the lines i think you can see that this is a good move on his part
