It will be interesting to see how it all fleshes out with DC on the team. Does he strictly play center or does he play Forward? What does this mean for Melo and Xmas? Will Xmas strictly be a forward or will he split time at center? We certainly have no shortage of bigs now and it would seem that the attention would be turned toward getting a true point guard.

Hell ... as farasI'm concerned he could start thiis year!!!

Absolutely. No doubt about it. Going to make alot of the people on the team unhappy probably.

Geez, cart way in front of the pony. Can we first see how our bigs play this season before speculating on DC as a possible starter ?

Seriously? He's going to have to work for it like everyone else, and if Fab/Baye/Rak all have big years and stay, he won't be getting more than 15 mins next year.

He would have started as a HS Junior on last years team. It will be up to Melo,Christmas and BMK to determine if he starts next year. If they move forward and develop well over the next year, Coleman may not start. Although, if I had to pick a starting lineup right now for next year, I'd have Melo at Center and Coleman at PF. I'm just glad we have the opportunity now to discuss it!

Where did I say he wont work for it? Talent wise he isnt close to these guys...thats the difference. When he comes in and does what he is supposed to he will be in the starting 5 next year.

Mexi, like it or not this does become an issue. I'm hoping that Fab has such a great year and improves so much that he ends up being the #1 Cuse starting center. Aside from what we saw last year the kid still has an enormous upside and the potential to be a big time collegiate center. As JB has stated, "Competition only makes the team better".

Way too early to tell. The current group of bigs will have a lot to say about it.

I concur wholeheartedly!

I'd guess that he will start from day one. Just a guess.

Figure that one of XMas/FAB will be gone. KJo leaving moves Fair to the 3. Looks like BMK vs. DC for the open spot.

If Xmas is here, JB will probably want to go offense over defense with DC instead of BMK as the other big.

DC, Xmas, Fair, MCW, Triche is my guess. party freakin city.

Who knows. I think he'll automatically be our best offensive big from day one, but where does he fit in the zone? Can't see JB wanting him on the wing for any long periods of time. Depth is a luxury JB is going to have to learn to utilize. Of course if Melo isn't here than I don't see how he doesn't start.

He starts at the 4 ... Rak starts at the 5 where - in the middle of the zone - he will lead the ACC in blocks every year.

Yikes. Who'd have thought landing a highly-rated recruit would bring out posts as crazy as any since we lost to Marquette?

I'm glad to have him on our team. That's all.

Depends on who is still around and how much kids improve. I hope he starts because everyone got drafted following an undefeated NC season.

How about a super-sized lineup of Fab, DC2, Xmas, MCW, and Waiters? Not terribly mobile but it would be huge, so we got that going for us.

It will be nice to have a guy we can throw the ball down low to score the basketball - that was a weakness last year and may be one again this year unless Melo develops.

We potentially could have the best frontcourt in America next year - hope everyone stays and we get the chance to find out. Will also be nice to have a team that can stand up to the physicality of Pitt.

I will say no chance he starts next year unless Fab or Keita are complete dinks.

Him and Christmas platoon at the 4. Not a huge deal. Just go with who is hot.

Agree, he doesn't strike me as a guy who is a great fit at the 4 in the SU 2-3. Seems much more cut out to play center in this system.

Lighten up! It' great to have entered the era of an embarrasment of riches for Syracuse Basketball. I't wonderful to entertain the possibilities with so much talent whereas many years we had to depend on one or two players to carry the team game after game. It's great that as JB nears the twilight of his coaching career at SU that we have an influx of talented and capable players and a myriad of possibilities as to how to structure the team due to having such depth.

He's the best big on our team. Melo, Rak, BMK are role players. DC will start. He would start now.
