This is unbelievably stupid and I hope UF fan has to endure a generations worth of Ron Zook caliber football.
I knew the obligatory don't like it, don't read reply was coming. Just have drive past the wreckage without looking I guess.Disagree.
Too many separate boards as it is.
The discussion should be wide ranging
If you don't like the topic, skip it.
**Scans list and sees no Syracuse**
That's a great list.
Agreed and urban Meyer faked a health issue to get out of that place.Seriously why would anyone wan to coach at that cesspool of a school and deal with those fans, boosters and administration?
Well that and he lost Tebow. No way he was going to be any higher than thatAgreed and urban Meyer faked a health issue to get out of that place.
Agreed plus Saban and Bama had just grilled them in the SEC Championship so he saw the writing on the wall.Well that and he lost Tebow. No way he was going to be any higher than that
What a joke... absolutely ridiculous that he's asked to pack up and go... 4-8 / 7-5 two years prior to arrival... 9-4 / 10-4 first two years...
struggle bus a touch this year, losing to LSU by 1 and A&M by 2... Then Georgia, Georgia's going to smoke just about everyone they'll play save Alabama. Their defense is stupid good.
Be careful what you wish for UF, because this type of intolerance is exactly what takes the luster off of destination type jobs.
Guaranteed they've already put themselves in a position where they'll either miss on some of their top choices or will have to over-pay. Good coaches aren't dumb.
If only there was someone out there with success in the SEC as an OC and then subsequently turned around a moribund program making it into an offensive juggernaut. They should hire that guy.
This wasn't about wins and losses.
In this instance it is not. He was essentially on the hot seat entering the season, fresh off two straight SEC East titles. He also entered October 16-3 in SEC play. He's beaten everyone except Bama. It's all about wins and losses.
Looks like they have humped the shark and are looking for any way they can dump shark man without paying him $12m.
My guess is he is gone by Thanksgiving.
That would make most likely UT UF and A&M looking for head coaches in SEC
Because the UT fanbase is delusional and obsessed with a big name. They think he'd be their Nick Saban despite the fact that he was no more than a position coach at the college level.Per their board, Gruden has long been a guy they wanted going back a ways. Not sure why. The guy has been in a booth for a while now..
Let's take the bait, hook, line & sinker, of the Florida Administration in publicly shifting the focus by insinuating other issues to protect their own financial interests...
As I see it, there's really 1 of 2 possibilities.
1) JM really does have skeletons
2) we'll allow Florida to reach new lows in attempts to destroy a man's character to save a buck. A buck they previously agreed to pay btw.
I'm not so naive to come to conclusions so quickly in these matters. But a smear campaign is disgusting, should this turn out to be that.
I'l be surprised if he leaves after this year.imagine if Jimbo Pasqualoni didn't have a 40mm buy out right now? These schools are losing complete perspective at this point.
if Dino were to leave i wouldn't be surprised b/c i operate on 2 assumptions:
1. coaches can't help themselves with grass greener.
2. they want to get paid as much money as possible
I will be delightfully surprised if he decides to pass on 1 and 2 which he'll have to if he remains at Syracuse for a lengthy duration.
