Great run starting with Scottie Scheffler last week through champ week. 3-1 today's college games. Hit the NBA parlay with a miracle on the final leg. Over in PHI/ORL was looking dead after Q3. Bet a little on 4Q over to get parlay money back with a small profit. Tied 104-104 at 3:00 mark and nobody scores. Enough to win my 4Q over bet, then they hit the total game Over for my 4 leg parlay. Hopefully I can avoid my past mistakes of feeling too cocky and start betting too reckless and giving it all back.

Nice run! If you ever figure out the key to that last sentence, let me know!

Anybody do survival or upset pools? It’s an interesting addition to a normal bracket pool.

The upset pool I just joined and you pick ten teams. Whatever the seed, that’s the points you accumulate each round. If a team makes the FF, add another 5 on top. Makes the champ game, add 10. If you pick winner, add another 20.

It’s interesting. I’ve stared at my list longer than I should ever admit to another human. My cat probably doesn’t understand, so I can tell him

another family friend just got ripped off by BetMGM. He created an account but didnt want to use his checking account so used his girlfriends paypay to deposit money.. No problem all went in fine.. Then he made a free bet which won.. All great then he tried to withdraw the money.. They turned around cancelled the bet and removed the free bet from the acct and said because the deposit account name didnt match it was no good.. How can they get away with this..

This is the 3rd person I know of who has been completely ripped off and there is no place to complain too..

So my betting platform has to set me up on their new Ontario platform by April 4th, and by law all my unsettled bets with them either have to be cashed out or voided (and fully returned) by Sunday night at 11:59. They will then move over to their new Ontario (Canadian site). I'm sure for many this is a positive. I'm getting crushed on Scottie Barnes ROY bets that I made about 7-10 days ago where he was still at +650 for some strange reason. He is now up to +220 but the cash out ratio is not proportional so I am getting screwed somewhat

But it does provide a bit of an "arbitrage" opportunity. I thought of one, but perhaps some of you see some others. Are there any bets I can make today that could still be unsettled by end of day tomorrow that could in cash out value (as odds climb) ... there is no downside as long as it remains unsettled. In that case I get the full value back.

The one I have identified is Final Four MVP. That bet can't be settled by earlier than Monday Night. For example Remy Martin at +800. If he has a good game his value should go up and the cash out value will go up. If he loses they still have to give my full bet value back. Any thought on other players, or other bets out there?

I was trying to get a futures MLB bet in.. The player I wanted was not on the boards that I could find. I contacted DK and FD and got no response to see if they would add a line for me. Now it seems the futures are gone anyway. I know in Vegas you can still bet the futures after the season starts. I wonder why online you cant?

Probably a New York thing. NY has all kinds of weird restrictions. You can't bet on MVP awards.

I'll tell you what's crazy. You can't bet on sports in Maryland. The voters passed a referendum a couple of years ago and finally the legislature approved it. Now there are literally three casinos within 20 minutes of where I live, with one just three exits up on the expressway. They've all built facilities for the sports book but the state is still stalling. There is some commission that is setting the rules and they are holding it up in a dispute between online and the casinos. Meantime the state is losing millions in revenues. It's nuts.

Caesar’s still has player futures online in NYS. Team wins, etc….

interesting thing i noticed today..

if you like playing the run line in baseball.. they have the run line for 1.5/-1.5 then if you look at the alt run lines. on several sites the run lines on the alt line pages are between 10-50 cents worse than the main page for the same 1.5/-1.5 bet.. thats pretty bad if people dont take the time to notice it..

I googled it, I guess USFL betting isn't allowed in all states currently.

NYRA sent out an email today saying it's against NYS law to bet on Easter Sunday so you are not able to log into your NYRA app. If the Sports betting websites are the same I didn't see it.

pretty sure its just a horse racing thing.. but you never know with this crew. its wouldnt surprise me if its extended to other stuff as well.. you can go to casinos tomorrow and do stuff. it was only 2015 the palm sunday ban got lifted..

If there is no live racing on a day like today in deference to the track workers, so be it, but if someone wants to sit home and bet on Santa Anita or Gulfstream or elsewhere that is hosting racing today it is hard to believe it is outlawed in a state that is considered the 5th most liberal and 9th least religious.

one thing is clear after online became a thing.. when you have issues you pretty much have no chance of getting anything resolved.. at least in a casino you get a teller and can escalate.. online you get nothing,

its also a pain that nothing is recorded so there is no record of what was discussed.
