Start a True Freshman QB...

Are you crazy? If we do that, we could lose! I wish we weren't playing Liberty next week. That would have been a lot funnier
Dasher, the question is will a win against Liberty be worth missing out on a really good test of Markiewicz's potential? is 2-9 or 3-8 really better than 1-10 or 2-9 long term?

If you catch lightning in a bottle, you force Tommy to either make a big step up on the mental side of the game or you have a legitimate alternative next year.

Run wildcat. Drain the clock every play. Get the season over with as quickly as possible.
TD's father said that TD graduates in December. Assuming the best, that Tommy is only dealing with an owie, does he come back next year or would he go elsewhere and see if he can have a productive season to push to the next level.

My thoughts (all theoretical and much speculation), other schools will look as his mechanics which are all good, and also look at the struggles that SU has had on the line and WR and think... maybe the kid could have a good season with reliable pieces around him.

There is no reason to not play the best FR next week.

Even if he stinks its valuable experience for next year and Rex is in for the second half to try and get a comeback W before Clemson.

You are going to see the guy behind Rex this year Culpepper is that bad. Might as well give him Liberty (or give him death etc etc.)

I just want the TD experiment to be over. He is never going to the QB SU needs. Unfortunately, Dino would rather go down with the ship with his guy instead of thinking outside of the box.
How many times does he run out of bounds for a 3, 4, 5 yard loss instead of throwing it away? Do the coaches not yell at him or doesn't he understand? For a p5 qb to keep making this mistake is mind boggling. Watch what Saban does if mac does this tonight.

Babers asked about injured QB Tommy DeVito. The prognosis appears to be bad. "Based off some of the stuff I've heard, it's not good. We're all pulling for him and wishing him the best, but like I said it's not good."

If the turf has anything to do with the run of injuries, ugh

one thing is the team as a whole is smaller and lighter, not having focused spring and off season conditioning is a multiplier

TD should go to a school like boise state, BYU, Houston, SMU or something like that I wouldn't want to see him at the P5 level go somewhere he can put up numbers and score a lot of points.

I’d be shocked to see him back next year. Think he could put some numbers up at schools that you mentioned. Feel for the kid. OL hasn’t helped one bit but damn watching some of the same mistakes he’s made is frustrating

We know what Culpepper can and cannot do, so let’s use next week to explore our quarterbacks!
Not playing anywhere after this “season “ is over anyway.
Liberty is better than many people think, they won't be a cakewalk especially for us. I'd like culpepper to start if it either team gets a big lead go to a freshman if its close all game I still would like them to get mixed in but look at who was recruiting these guys, I'll give you a hint no one, super low level recruits as true freshman dino might just stick with culpepper to avoid the embarrassment and eek out 3 wins. dillon at least had an offer from boise, jacobian morgan had 2 other offers, jqckson state and austin peavy, the coaches do know they can get a transfer who would be a much better backup and doesn't take a scolly for most likely 5 years. Sommrs had maryland but the offer was from matt canada and if i remember correctly locksley pulled that, what a mess, better hit the transfer portal hard this offseason!!!

I was joking.

Obviously he's no where near NFL caliber, if he plays at one of those schools he'll have the supporitng cast he needs especially against the teams he'd be playing, after his time here he should go and enjoy football again, it's not all his fault I'm with you definitely feel for him

thev body isn’t even cold Thanks for the concern !

we are all concerned for Tommy and we wish and hope the best for a very speedy recovery. With that being said the injury looked rough and Barbers said it’s not good.

unfortunately, this is football so it is next man up and it’s time to start looking at what’s in the cupboard.

I'm frustrated for him. Whatever the reason, things aren't falling his way right now. Hopefully his injury is minor and he'll be back on the field soon.

Not sure how to fix this offense though, it seems like it's not that difficult to defend unless we have a QB who is a consistent run threat like ED.
