Yes, he went there, and another team mate took over the guarding duties and Cooney just stood there. And yeah, when he's guarding the foul line with no one within 20 feet, that does bother me a bit. Especially when the ball is reversed to the three point shooter he's been ignoring.

And going to the foul line is how you play zone. It's worse to let someone cut there and get the pass because it's the weak part of the zone. We take our chances that the ball rotates back quicker than we can recover. Open at the foul line is worse than open from 20 feet.
