This doesn’t hold up. He’s a really good QB coach who took guys and made them better.

We don’t need a QB coach to get a QB from the portal.

Anae and Beck have both been hired and signed. DB asked Anae to come on board right now for recruiting purposes. Branco (who is coaching the bowl) asked DB to let Beck call the game for consistency and will come on board after the game.

Middle ground
Anae has been hired and school is still trying to work a deal when Beck. If Beck does not sign Anae will be announced and look for a qbs coach for his system.

Worse Case
Neither are signed and are still looking for different schools. If we do not hear anything by the end of next week this is the situation.

Are you serious? He is exactly what we need. He has done a great job developing QB's going back to BYU.

Not me. Anae has been the one calling the plays and his O. Beck knows the system and a good qb coach. I’ll take experience at this point if we could only sign one.

Not sure why Beck would want to be OC at VA with Elliott as the head coach. Elliott was an OC. Probably wants to implement his O. That would leave Beck essentially a qb coach with an OC title. If Elliott’s O failed it would be blamed on Beck.

I've never seen someone at this level miss WRs as badly as GS did.

I don't think the guys behind him at any level are any good so I expect him to be the starter.

Ideally he'd be used like Notre Dame and Michigan use their 2nd running QBs.

WIth how bad our WRs are you can make the case that no matter what GS is our best option due to running ability at least until he gets dinged up enough that it affects his throwing.

Hes not a good passer. Not Tebo horrible but throwing the ball isnt his gift. Great play calling, is key for him. He isnt going to sling his way to victory. Our OC has to scheme kids open, get creative and put him in good situations.

It's the same back and forth about how we weren't going to get a good offensive coordinator because "Dino is on the hot seat and who would wanna come here" incessant you-think-you-know-something-and-you-really-don't kind of speculation
