True, the last 6 games of the season, Kingz shot 7/25 from three, bringing his season average down to .446. Prior to that, Kingz shot .485 from three over a 24 game sample.Kings shot the lights out from 3 for like 80% of his season. He was low volume so a few cold shooting games near end of season brought his % down too.
How long has he been in the program?Crazy what an actual S&C program can accomplish
Umm you remember Bell got benched right and stopped shooting 3's unless he was wide open. I would call Bell a low volume 3 point shooter last year too given he basically stopped taking 3's unless he was wide open and became a sort of 6th man without the spark. He did put up 130 3s at 4.2 a clip last year so I’d not exactly call that low volume…that’s only 3 less than Bell put up all of last year.
Thank you! I remember someone from Oregon getting interviewed talking about Kingz in this context. They said he was pretty much lights out for most of the season. Not someone they wanted to let go of.True, the last 6 games of the season, Kingz shot 7/25 from three, bringing his season average down to .446. Amazing efficiency for a long set of games. I wonder if he wore down at the end of the season, if it was better competition, or just a cold streak all shooters get sometimes?

Yup. Not everyone you are gonna get is 20ppg starter. You need role players. Those are the difference most times between an OK team and a very good team. Are best teams we always had a very good 6th and 7th man. Dion, Kris Joseph, Grant his freshman year, southerland. Not saying that kid is on that level but they are importantGlue guys/role players are so important. That gets lost in the transfer portal era.
Look, sometimes it's good for team bonding to take a trip together to Pound Town.Pshh. Same energy we saw from the guys last year, only it was when they were eating at Lampkins BBQ place.
It's good enough that I'll make a special detour on the way to my far more rural destinations.Look, sometimes it's good for team bonding to take a trip together to Pound Town.
These guys got Length!
Reminds me of how huge Josh Pace was for us back in day. love thst type of guy.Glue guys/role players are so important. That gets lost in the transfer portal era.
Just plain lazyI know I'm quoting myself here but the more I think about it, the more I'm actually pissed off about this.
It's actually embarrassing as a high-major program that we just didn't properly commit any time and effort into actual strength & conditioning over the last however-many years.
How many wins were left on the table, even during JB's good years? Were we playing certain styles because we didn't WANT to put the effort in to get the players conditioned into playing man defense? It's infuriating.
We made a drinking game in school. Take a drink every time Josh pace made a play off the bench. Pretty drunk.Reminds me of how huge Josh Pace was for us back in day. love thst type of guy.
Did you have to drink it with your left hand?We made a drinking game in school. Take a drink every time Josh pace made a play off the bench. Pretty drunk.
Don’t see Anthony in the picture? How’d they get there? (Too soon?)
