Yeah - I didn't agree with him calling Kiyan the X-factor this year when determining the success of this team.Weird call out on Kiyan- without any reference to Kingz who will be that guy much more likely and Kiyan will be off the bench.
I don’t think he meant ‘as Kiyan goes, we go.’ He probably should have referred to Kiyan as a litmus test. He followed up with saying that if Kiyan is a contributor in the ~18 minute realm, good. If we’re relying on him, bad.
So, sure, he’s an x-factor if that means he’s good enough to contribute and that that having quality depth makes us legit.
To me it came off as Goodman not having a good pulse of the team. Maybe it was poor wording (x-factor) but to describe potential outcomes for team success somewhat centered around a likely bench player that may or may not get considerable playing time is a stretch and makes me believe he only has a superficial understanding of this team.Yeah I was fine with that just the complete omission of Kingz who is the guy in front of him for good reason was odd. It’s a bit of an assumption that because Kiyan is Melos son that there is unreasonable expectations with him which I would argue no one in our fanbase or local media has been taking such a position.
Kind of shows how irrelevant we are to the national media these days. They aren’t, and don’t care to be, tuned into who the expected key players are. He just took the obvious name that everyone knows.Weird call out on Kiyan- without any reference to Kingz who will be that guy much more likely and Kiyan will be off the bench.
Or that someone is bad at their jobKind of shows how irrelevant we are to the national media these days. They aren’t, and don’t care to be, tuned into who the expected key players are. He just took the obvious name that everyone knows.

Both are probably true.Or that someone is bad at their job
Felt the same way listening to the interview. Seemed like he did not bother to research the portal additions. To me it came off as Goodman not having a good pulse of the team.
