Symir Torrence Transferring from Marquette to Syracuse

I’ve watched this kid’s highlights but of course, we won’t really know what we have until he gets out on the court. The fact that Shaka Smart, who’s a good judge of talent, targeted him as his 1st priority at Marquette shows that he has the tools to be a good PG.
As for the “former guy”, Kadary, it’s time to move on. It is what it is. LGO

Since this is the Symir Torrence thread, it seems like a good place to try to be optimistic. I understand how bummed people are about Kadary, but I like what people are writing about this kid and I really like how much he wants to be at Syracuse.

He played behind DJ Carton who transferred from Ohio St after averaging 10 ppg himself as a freshman at OSU. Carton was the the #4 PG in the 2019 class. FYI...not that it matters or is really even relevant but the 3 guys ranked ahead of Carton were Nico Mannion (NBA), Tre Mann (Florida leading scorer) and Lamelo Ball (NBA), decent competition for the ranking.
