Who in the football department arranges the consultations with Tucker? I'm sure you already have tried this but if not I would contact that person to tell Tucker directly. This is ridiculous that he is avoiding a patient.
That's the thing; we suspect that Tucker told the staff to blow him off. Steven's been trying to meet with Tucker for over a week. Med staff told Steven that Tucker wasn't in town. Truth? Tucker WAS in town.

The staff's fiduciary duty is to the players not Tucker. If Tucker is going to disqualify a player that player should have access to him at any time.
I know you don't want to sue but crap like this is unacceptable. If Tucker doesn't think your son should play then he should have access to him.

Yeah, think the guy's not going to leave us with any other choice.

TERMINATE TUCKER TODAY (TTT) on grounds of complete incompetence.

It is beyond ridiculousness that there is no appeal process - again Tucker's policies and practices are not in conjunction of modern day practices at P5 universities (per FADMC, not me)...TTT, TTT, TTT (new chant)

Bcubs, your only chance for your son in this is for HCDB to meet with ADJW and devise a plan to have Tucker reopen the case in the name of a "new appeal process" to be put into place similar to other P5 Universities. Steven will hit a brick wall if he tries and takes this on himself with Tucker directly. Good luck...TTT, TTT, TTT...

I'm not defending tucker but I was told he was out of town for most of last week and wasn't in the office when he was in town.

That's depressing. I'm amazed he can act independently from the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees. Since that's the case, my feeling is he should be an employee of, and/or trained and certified by the NCAA. Someone must be responsible for the oversight and review of his decisions.

Thats been my problem, my contention with his examinations AND rulings! Geeez...

Get rid of this quack NOW. The onus is on Wildhack and Syveruud. Tucker couldn't get into the parking lot of Strong Memorial Hospital. Wouldn't be allowed to set foot in the place.

Nope. Saw several players last week.

Just REALLY sad that our medical "staff " is in tbe dark the last few years. Geeez, for the LOVE of god, can we get a doc in there with common knowledge of current MEDICINE?????

That's up to whoever does the hiring/firing at SU.

Tucker really should retire. Doubt he has kept up with latest advances in medecine across the board. Family practitioner that disputes top notch specialists is dangerous. It's like going to an old architect who has designed nothing but summer cabins for a design of a 50 story skyscraper.

Wire him

Meeting with Tucker on Wednesday.
Steven is obviously the primary patient, but perhaps the doctor would allow him to conference in his folks so they can have any questions they may have addressed?

Cleared by hematologist from the University of Rochester.

This. Is it 3 to 1 now? I understand Tuckers responsibilities, and erring on the side of caution, where he may not be an expert... Is there a meeting? I hope he respects the professionals... Is he meeting with him this week?

Seems the professional consensus is that he's good to go... I'll hold my breath, and hope this works out right for Steven...

Here's to hoping for the best. Obviously want Steven in Orange, as he is a key piece to the DL, and was really looking forward to watching him get better, and better. Hopefully still get to see it here, and hopefully Tucker swallows his damn pride and listens to the experts. If not, I know he will do well in whatever he decides on next.

Tucker reminds me of a family doctor I saw once about 15 years ago. Told him I was taking creatine as a supplement. He doesn't say anything, finishes up my physical exam, leaves the room, comes back about 5 minutes later with a photocopy of a paragraph about the "possible" evils of creatine and tells me to stop taking it. Of course, no study has yet to prove creatine has any detrimental medical problems. Sugar and salt are worst for you. That was the last time I saw that doc.

I wonder how quickly SU admins would reconsider if Steven was looking to transfer to another ACC school?

I doubt that would affect anything at all.
