Tecmo Super Bowl Fanstasy draft

Week 2, really clamped down on defense against Cincy.
The I guy I used had 2 sacks, at least 3 PDs, and caused 4 fumbles. Of course, as tecmo players know, the only caveat is that Cincy's only score came when Ickey came up with the loose ball off one of my forced fumbles, turned into superman to score from 80-90 yards. Damn you, Tecmo! Terrible glitch in that everyone has 99 speed and strength when they pick up a loose ball.

Moon was his stellar self, now would have had a 440+ QB rating, but I forgot to save!
Now, I have to play this game again. my life.

Looks like your playing by my rules! You kicking off everytime as well?

It's better that way vs some teams anyway. Onside kick vs the Raiders and Bo might pick it up and house it. Same with the Lions and Barry.
Yup. Not guaranteed to pick it up no matter how well you time it and when cpu has 50 or less yards to work with, you can't just guess one run and key pass or go for sack as now, their worse run plays are good enough for them to move the chains once or twice and get a fg or breakaway.

Ah, tecmo strategy. Right up there with the game of Risk. :)
There's another game we should get going, but how...

No but intrigued. Is it strategy specific?

Strategy + dice. If you played Risk you'd be all about it. Fair warning: Games can get heated even among friends.

The "board" is a series of hexagons which can be laid down in an almost infinite number of patterns so that the game will always be a bit different each time it's played. Players compete to explore the island of Catan, building roads, villages and cities. To do so, you have to acquire the proper resource cards -- which is done both by controlling resource production tiles and by trading cards with other players.

Just like Risk, always heated among friends. Plenty of backstabbing going on. :)

On the road, no time to sit down and think about this, kinda forgot what positions I've picked lol. Once we get to the hotel, I'll sit down and plan some out... So just to keep this going for you guys,

Nancies select Rodney Hampton. RB giants... Only because I had his jersey as a kid

Thanks brother. I think it's fair that since on the road, after the draft, if you wanted to swap out this position, how about giving Troop a supplemental swap on RB if he changes his mind after its over?

I say it's cool but obviously, only if he wants it and only if majority says.

Who? lol. I'm next in line to draft and leaving work so will be later til I get back. I'll hold off picking until you get yourself back and decide if you want actually Hampton or not.

I'm with you on the pick. Not for Hampton even though I'm a Giant fan, but for the idol pick:
One of my closest friends in school and I witnessed a hot arse shorty hotty wearing an ATL linebacker's jersey on Halloween. She had the black eye paint rocking and the girl was so frikkin cute to begin with.

From then on, me and my buddy used this guy whenever we could and he was good enough to play with the big boys.
He's not even a sleeper so I'm going to throw his name out there anyway.

Jessie Tuggle. Respect.

I think we should let Cusetroop take his pick back I don't want to rush him as this is a fun thread and want to keep the steam going as long as we can. I wish we could get 12 guys and make this 16 rounds 1 QB, 2 RB 2 WR 1Flex WR/TE, 3 DL/DE 3LBs 3DBs 1 K but we have let a lot of our picks out of the bag.

Agree on all parts. Format can't change now due to strategy, but definitely for next draft, and more teams? 12 or 16?

Maybe he doesn't want to take his pick back and he's tired of the man telling him what to do?

I seriously have no idea who Rodney Hampton is but I'm 95% sure he's better than Rodney Peete.

Yeah, I say you go for it and take your pick when ready. If I was a huge fan of my pick, I'd stick with my guy...
in fact, I still might take Jessie Tuggle or another favorite. :)

I might have been one of the few other players here who actually played as Hampton quite regularly.

With him being a first round pick and all, I tried to make him better than he actually was in the game. Made Tecmo extra challenging as well. I mean, how many times can you try to get Bo to rush for 1000 yards in a game?

If Cusetroop wants to keep Hampton then go ahead IO. We can give Compensatory draft picks at the end of the draft we need to. BTW, I am going to play a season with great Haddox again and try to scratch the Buccaneers off my 19-0 list with them and the Pats.
