That can't be true. I wouldn't even think they are top 10.

Migos are probably the biggest act in rap right now. If you listen to the radio, you'll hear Migos.
We lost that game tho, right? When Schiano hugged Pernetti like they won the rose bowl?
I don't want to get into an argument on a football board about a 3rd tier rap group, but what does being one of 100 performers at lolla prove? They aren't playing in MSG or a big place on their own like Jay-Z, Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, Chance, Kendrick, Big Sean, ASAP, J. Cole, Future, etc. They might be an up and coming group, but they are not the biggest act in rap; it's really not even close.
I wouldn't really classify a group with a number 1 album and song as '3rd tier'. Ask any person born between 1995-2000 who is running the rap game, and I promise WAY more people are saying Migos than Kanye/Big Sean/A$AP/Cole/Eminem combined, and it's not really even close.I don't want to get into an argument on a football board about a 3rd tier rap group, but what does being one of 100 performers at lolla prove? Alright, I'll get my survey ready and hit the streets.I wouldn't really classify a group with a number 1 album and song as '3rd tier'. Not saying that Migos is my personal taste in music, but having worked with that age demographic so much, I can promise you they are a bigger deal than I'd like to admit. Most pre-game locker rooms will have multiple songs in rotation.Alright, I'll get my survey ready and hit the streets.
Okay I'm back from the survey, more people thought Kendrick Lamar is the bigger act.Alright, I'll get my survey ready and hit the streets.
Can't we all just get along and get back to making fun of Rutgers?
Maybe I'm getting old, but I have never heard of them, and I listen to rap.
Blahzey blahzey met the '96 hoops team in their hotel during the NCAA tourney (I think in Colorado) to perform Danger for the team with the alt lyrics.SU had Meek Mill perform and meet the team. Drake is practically an assistant coach at Kentucky. I think what Ash did is within the rules.
This had me rolling.
Ok I'm 22 and I will say that migos are way bigger right now than Kanye west, Kendrick Lamar, and people of the sort. They have a ton of popular songs right now and everyone around my age knows them well. They're played at almost every college party and bar I've been to in the past year or so
Not if you have SiriusXM. I hadn't hear of them (him) until this thread. Migos doesn't show up on Margaritaville, 80'sOn8 or Stern.
We are fortunate to live in a time when there is an ocean of music behind us. My favorites have been classical (first and foremost), some of the classic rock I grew up with, jazz, musicals, opera, prog rock. I don't listen to "the radio" now, blecchh. About 10 years ago I discovered that the only interesting music (IMO) was coming from the "indie" channels on internet radio. Not if you have SiriusXM. I hadn't hear of them (him) until this thread. I wasn't happy that Shafer was getting the hook after 3 years. But I had said that if we ever changed coaches, for god's sake, hire an established HC from the MAC or something similar. One requirement. We had never done it!In an effort to get this thing back on track, remember when the Rutgers fans were crowing that they stole Ash from us!?
I wonder if there are and old Rutgers message boards with that stuff.

I love Esquivel. A musician friend of mine handed me a disc of his as a parting gift before I headed off to Syracuse University in 1992 and I've been hooked since. I blare his holiday album every year and get all the fun looks that go along with it from family and friends.Recently I started investigating what is broadly classified as "Exotica" or "Lounge" music, stuff from the 60's and 70's like Esquivel, Perez Prado, Yma Sumac, etc. And it amazes me how much wonderful, interesting stuff has gone before, which I never knew about.
If you need a break, you can come over to our football board ("The Temple of Gloom") or our basketball board "(The Pity Palace").I love this, pure gold. Rutgers dumpster thread, syracusefan, August 15th, 2017...
Holy shitezenberger we need a game. This place is turning into a middle school girls locker room.
