That's a big get. Both guys. They'll land Berger because most have backed off him somewhat. They are solid recruiters and coaches. He'd be putting together a good staff if that's the case.

It doesn’t matter how well Rutgers recruits - they’ll still have to rely on blocking punts to try to win 17-14 games. 6-6 ceiling. Schiano is a terrible Gameday coach and never has an offense.

Syracuse doesn't release salary information but so it's hard to say. Id guess Cuse's pool is around 5 mil based on spending by peer schools

That about what I was thinking too at a ball park of $5MM maybe. $7.7 is a pretty big jump up from what we spend.

Folks, give them some credit. They might be the best team in Jersey next year if Monmouth and Princeton can't backfill their losses from graduation.

Its not necessarily going to hurt us, it really won't. Where it will impact is their recruiting. They will get top 20 PA and NJ kids, top 10 NY kids. It will make their roster better. It will change the perception of the program. Yes it will still be 6-6, 7-5. But that's where we are hoping to be soon too. They won't be a doormat. And yes they may take a kid or two that we want over time. The biggest impact will be the benefit they get from improvement in depth and quality, which will improve perception of the program.

We’re rather targeted in these 3 states. Meaning we don’t waste a lot of time with certain kids. This class we have 1 PA kid, 2 NJ kids and 1 N.Y. Are we suddenly going to lose them in the coming years? Like zero kids from these states? No

People seem to be having trouble separating 2003 and the old big easy with the current conference realignment.

And let me tell ya what to worry about. Jeff Hafley at BC. And buttgers fans are crapping their pants about that one to because that guy will be all over New Jersey.

zip it? Why cause it’s not what you want to hear. This hire will hurt our recruiting in New Jersey. A state that we absolutely need to do well in to be successful.The top tier kids will continue to go to penn state, bama etc, but the second tier kid will be harder to get on campus.

Dino has only signed 3 NJ kids in his first 4 years here.

We largely recruit in our conference footprint. Does it matter where they’re from if they can play?
