Loyola is an interesting case. Their whole resume and ranking is built in league play. Their only two games against non league strong competition included losses to Wisconsin and Richmond. Drake then beat now 8-19 Kansas State. The MVC has 3 teams in the top 100 of the Net.

Loyola is 16 in the Net but their only win of significance is Drake. So those two essentially are supporting one another on their own. Its wild how you can be so high on the NET while beating almost no one except Q3/Q4 teams.

Outside that inflated Net, LUC is riding their AP ranking and previous FF run.

Zactly however I hope Loyola hangs on and wins...they are a good story. I love that YMCA weekend all-star playing for the Ramblers.

I’ll never forget thinking we didn’t have much of a shot in 2016. Then the bracket leaked... that was crazy

Weirdly I think Loyola Chicago is the better job. Some places just seemed cursed. And few are more cursed than DePaul.

Drake has 1 good win vs the team beating them today. If they get in on that coupled with a bunch of weak conference wins then...

I’ve seen some updated projections that have us as the top 12-seed and 75-80% in...

I know these are all a crap shoot right now, it’s just been fun to watch us climb this weekend.

It probably is a better job right now but it shouldn’t be, especially now that DePaul has the new downtown arena. I think they have been cursed more with lame coaches

LOL It's not the size. How well do they move the ball and can they shoot? We face bigger teams all the time. And one thing I can tell you, they wouldn't spank us. Might they win, sure. Neutral court, I'll take my chances in a play in game with them. Let's see, this team that is going to spank us has lost 4 games in a row. They have lost to Rhode Island by 13. At home to Providence. Lost toa good creighton team by a good 36. 36?? lost to g-town Lost to Butler. They did it. Lost to St John's by 10 that is the 4th loss in a row. Finishing strong. We just finished beating two teams that beat us earlier. I just don't see them spanking us.
