the crane the crane

Yea another piece lifted in full view going up now!

that looks like the piece I had a pic of yesterday when it was lying on the ground.

btw, Walt is the big crane in front. The smaller crane in the back doesn’t have a name..I don’t think.

Bees - it did look like the piece you photographed yesterday. Can you see where they lowered it? It looks like there's something on the flat walkway as you enter the Dome in the far corner from the live cam.

i saw it go up, I saw it start coming down, but then I lost it behind the big crane, so I don’t see where it ended up.

Same view I had - I thought you might have been out on the grassy knoll again. looks like their finished for the day.

was home watching the cam. Yea, short day today with the b-ball game tonight and having to get everything shut down and safely out of the way.

It's a sad day when watching a crane is more fun than watching Syracuse Football.:(
Progress doesn't always take a straight line and it can be like watching paint dry...just like this construction project.

If we have "belief without evidence", why do we need a Live Cam?

This saying has kind of been a steady theme in some of the football threads this season. I'm curious if the same thing can be said about failure?

you guys may have already mentioned this as I haven't read back in the thread but everything painted with just the primer (brown) is just temporary and will act as support for when they construct the roof itself which will be supported by steel cables all over the place (kind of like a suspension bridge). This roof will be done right over the current dome teflon roof until approx. April whereupon they move inside to do the work of removing the old roof and other work/changes slated to occur. The two smaller cranes will be moved inside I was told whole as is as they believe they can fit it right through whatever larger door there is there!

Now thats going to be interesting as that's gonna be a tight squeeze I'd imagine.

We will need an indoor webcam. Come on Pete!

Waiting... it's lunch time for the guys, I guess, but Walt has hold of one of the three giant white pieces sitting in Walt's lot across from the live cam and I am waiting to see where it's going. The piece is raised off the ground about 6' and is resting at its farthest point away from the Dome on some type of support and closest to the Dome on another. The cable is dangling about the closest point with a black and white ball followed by a black piece of fabric perhaps to give Walt's operator a better visual of the cable itself?

One of the last couple summer like days left in CNY. They better get cracking

Now here's activity. Walt's operator has the cable over by the two other long white pieces. Somethings happening guess I'll just watch and see. Those pieces have to be over 60' long.
