To my eye, it looks like the underside of the grey pieces might be white foam...
Usually these panels are all inclusive...but since we have no blueprints who knows.

Does this mean that the vents near the top of the Dome that were used to regulate the air pressure supporting the old roof will remain functional?
Ty Willingham read this tweet and felt vindicated 13 years after claiming wind in the Dome.
3rd?
The Dome: 62'x20'x4 = 4,960 square feetThe key is 4 sided
I honestly can't say what they are, but they may be something like an expansion joint, or possibly something like a brick ledge or angle. I know that we are not doing brick, I don't want to get Michigan upset, but something similar, to carry the stacked load of panels,Cool. Do you think thin strips of what looks like grey corrugated metal might be used to hold the composite panels in place?
The more I see them put the grey strips in place, the more they look like they are meant to hold panels in place.
In fact, I think the part of the grey metal that sticks out might actually be the darker line that you can see separates the rows of panels in the Geiger drawings.

JMA Dome (formerly Carrier Dome) at Syracuse University | Geiger Engineers
The first and still the only covered stadium in New York State - is a 50,000-seat multipurpose domed stadium. Since its opening in 1980 it has served not only the university’s athletics department but also the campus and the greater Syracuse community through hosting a myriad of events. That's a great pic. So the large Middle square part will be translucent while the outside part will be hard steel?Nice picture, taken from a plane. I believe Rik Beardsley took it, and DCCuse asked me to post it.

The Dome: 62'x20'x4 = 4,960 square feet
Jerry World = 25,998 square feet (also "4 sided")
The Benz = 62,350 square feet
The Daktronics quote, as given, just doesn't compute.
Carlson/Sala/Daktronics should give some more context...
How about this: "on campus" ?So then I start thinking, "maybe they mean 4 sided center hung video/score board?"
- Golden State Warriors : 9,699 square feet
- United Center : 8,600 square feet
- Capital One Arena : > 7,000 square feet
There are likely others that are greater than 4,960 square feet.
Oh well...
Or, .."in CNY."How about this: "on campus" ?
I think the width is impressive. The depth is not. My guess is they are only talking about width here.So then I start thinking, "maybe they mean 4 sided center hung video/score board?"

Pretty sure the PTFE section will be brilliant white. Sounds like the hard shell exterior is going to be composite metal. Color is unknown. That's a great pic. So the large Middle square part will be translucent while the outside part will be hard steel?
