I wondered if we would be able to see the crown truss through the PTFE panels on a sunny day. The answer is yes. No way the panels on the old roof were this translucent.

My understanding is that this is a fundamental property of PTFE. If those panels are PTFE, and they have been reported as such thousands of times, they will bleach white over time. With October so close and the intensity and frequency of the sun dropping, it might not be until May that it goes all white. But I think it is inevitable.
