- We got it fixed but those seven turnovers in the first 7 minutes were tough to take. Oftentimes we just seemed to lose control of the ball driving to the basket. The same thing happened to Brandon Triche on the last possession of the first half. He could have ended the half with a dunk!

- Rakeem Christmas’s night: 9 minutes played. Four fouls. 1 block. Otherwise goose-eggs. Happy Easter.

- We are kind of beat up just now, with Brandon’s back and Keita’s wrist. But I suppose the other teams are, too. They can rest up next month.

- The dream of Michael Carter-Williams not being a lottery pick and coming back for another year seems to be slipping away. But he can get us to the Final Four, he’ll leave for the NBA with our blessings.

- We were playing with House Money. A team that wasn’t expected to get this far playing a #1 seed. As long as we didn’t get blown out or hosed by the refs, we could handle whatever happened. Now the expectations are sky high and here comes Marquette, a Big East “Ugly Ball” that will get us into a low-scoring wrestling match we’ll have to scratch and claw our way out of. No defeat to this team is acceptable. And yet they are playing as well as we are and beat Miami just as badly. They beat us in the regular season and again in the NCAA tournament two years ago and will be looking for another sweep. The zone doesn’t scare them at all. We had a supreme effort vs. Indiana but can we play like that again? We can’t afford to have the season, and the Big East era for Syracuse end like this:
