Given Scorsese’s recent criticism of the MCU, he needed to knock it out of the park with this film. He didn’t.

Ironically, he should have consulted with Marvel on how to properly do the de-aging.

I read To Kill the Irishman about 15 years ago... bored college summer reading.

It was okay but what I remember most was nobody seemed to edit the damn thing. Wanted to take a pen and do it myself as I read, then send my marked up copy back to the publisher free of charge. It was a mess.

If you're as squeamish as I am (spoiler: nobody's as squeamish as I am), that shouldn't be too bad. Bullet entry wounds don't bother me so much in movies. (Knife wounds or bullet exit wounds are usually a different story.)

You might want to avoid 1971. Good flick, though.
