They are on the way

Relax we could have the Butgers team airplane instead

After that 60 Minutes expose on Allegiant; there is no chance in hell I’ll fly them. Only takes one time. They have the oldest fleet of planes out there and three times (!) as many complaints/mechnanical problems compared to Spirit, Frontier, Jet Blue, etc.

Dungey will climb out on the wing and fix the engine, if he has to.

Also, looks like this flight number flew Buffalo to play Rutgers last week and North Texas to play Arkansas the week before that. So, there's some good mojo in those wings.

wait, Buffalo flew down to Rutgers? I had heard they walked down to New Jersey, they figured it would be the only time all weekend they would break a sweat

Keep your seat back and food trays in their upright position, we are readying for takeoff!!!

sad end for a WWII PBY, flying boat. They were the go-to plane for anti-submarine warfare. They are now 80 years old and still being used as air tankers to fight forest fires. They are a trip. They can land on water and then power themselves up a ramp to get to dry land. I've had a turbulent flight in a similar ancient plane, a Grumman Goose, from Stewart BC to Prince Rupert BC, following a narrow portion of the Inside Passage, lined by mountains, never going above the 500' cloud cover, while the pilot chain smoked, even when standing on top of the wing to fuel up in Stewart. Highlights were the Priest praying up front and the pilot fishing around for his lit cigarette that he lost during turbulence. It was the first plane to make it to Stewart in several days and no one knew when the next one would make it. You take what you can get.

I've flown with them 4 times now and they are great.

Completely off topic, but I'd love to hear more (DM is fine too). I've always gone with American since I racked up miles living in Charlotte.

after the 60 min story and so many of my friends who have been left stranded flying them, my wife says never.. And i would never fly them if i had a tight deadline either direction.
