Class of 2022 This year’s class

Vanilla offense + Less mobile QB + challenged OL = 6-17 over 2 years.
Agreed...except it's a lot more than mobility. I don't care about his physical attributes i.e. arm talent etc, he simply has yet to prove he has any feel for the game.

Imo, TD's issues are mental and instinctual.

It's hard to get a read on any issues with him when he's either being rushed or thrown around like a rag doll.

You have to look at all the plays not just when he's pressured or sacked. I re watch games over and over again on youtube. I see a lot of things that are off with his reads and decision making when he is not under duress. We also cant act like other QB's dont have to make plays on the run. Every QB has to at some point in a game. Im rooting for TD but the staff brought in shrader for a reason.

I don't disagree but I also think the high percentage of plays with a breakdown in the OL has an effect on a player's psyche on plays when he has appropriate time.

The athletic department seems to be doing their part, spending $$$.
Dino may or may not be the right guy and this season we definitely will find out one way or another.
1 thing i think we need to do/find some top recruiting assistants!! I hate to say this but pretty much what rutgirls is doing. Heard in the B10 which is many for top money is like top 3 in the conference!! Pains me to say but sounds like commitment to me

He has never shown the ability to read the defense, and adjust the play, which all good Quarter backs do. With the defenses in the ACC that is a must. Eric was good at seeing where the weakness in a defense was and reacting. TD will never be able to do that. He is a great 7 on 7 QB, but his reactions in realtime leave a lot to be desired.

Quick game are one read quick throws before the pressure gets there. Im not talking about the longer developing routes.

Lost out on Belin but I still think the staff is doing a solid job recruiting coming off a 1-10 season. It could be worse. 5 out of our 6 commits have other P5 offers. These are not reaches. I just wish we start getting some offensive guys soon. LaQuint Allen is our lone offensive commit and I actually like him more at DB.

we do have a lot of young offensive talent. It just remains to be seen how good they are.

Wasn’t it Strickland people used to mention looking better at DB too? I can’t remember anymore.

But yeah I’m impressed with White.

It’s a solid class so far under the circumstances. Some really bizarre hyperbole going on in the Belin thread. Oh well lol.

For the life of me I can’t figure out how a guy can make those viral locker room speeches but can’t land a guy from Buffalo. To me there is clearly a recruiting issue. Dino has not been the same Dino we hired for a long time.

one of the tough things to tell from watching plays in a offense like ours is who is making the correct reads pre/post snap. if the WR goes to the wrong read spot and gets open it makes the QB look pretty bad on some throws when he is missed. really miss the all-22 views to look plays over , there are some play designs where I really wonder if its play or decisions or execution that is causing the failure on some of the pass plays. But a better oline will make much of it look better.

We've got a few recruiters on the defensive side that's for sure, last year the offensive staff had a good year but for the most part have struggled IMO. Still hope we hit the portal to grab positional needs

I truly believe he didnt expect to stay.

If Dino was super successful other coaches would recruiting against us using the line that he is leaving for greener pastures. I'd sure rather have this problem.

Correct for he has changed and is much richer now with a $3.5m per year salary on an overall 24 - 36 record at the Cuse.

Yeah I think he was 3 and out and that bad year deflated him. Now we have a coach learning on the job

I feel Dino has the same passion when he recruits a player. The difference between Dino and other coaches is that he is honest and not selling a line. Not going to promise the kid the moon, stars or sun.
These young kids are just looking who will get me in the league. Education for most is second on the list. When a coach says you will start as a freshman and I’ll get you in the league the kid believes no matter the reality.
Dino will tell the player the truth. Unfortunately truth is not held in high regards in our society lately.

You'd rather we stink so no one wants our coach?

Uh, NO.

Let’s get the super successful Dino, then worry about that problem after.

The key isn’t the ratings. The key is identifying the right guys in the rating range we’ve always been getting. Then it’s about coaching them up and having that good season every third to fourth year with 5 to 6 win seasons in between. That’s the reality and I’m OK with that. Last year was a mirage. I’m more disappointed with the five win season the year before.
I'm not, I hope the players aren't, I hope the administration isn't, the AD, and all the fans.
That means we never have winning records, bowl games, no fans, no big games.
No, Big No! You're not a fan you're a spectator.
