jekelish said:There's obviously an ENORMOUS difference between Syracusefan and any sites that actually produce original, published content. Here, it's people basically just BSing together and sharing their opinions. Nunes, Syracuse.com, and any other place like that is vastly different. Yes, I'm including my own site in there. I don't really have a problem with 99% of the stuff that Sean and the guys publish on Nunes. I like Sean, and I like most of the other guys there. Obviously, they're a little more cynical than I prefer but I can always at least understand where they're coming from.
I'm guess you are done with grammatical correctness.C'mon. Did you really just compare Nunes to syracuse.com? I'm guess I'm done with this thread.
Whigham is targeted like crazy. And that will continue.
Hope he sits.
But I dislike Nunes a lot.
Yes. But turning to the ball has always been an issue.Considering he is usually lined up against the other teams #1 WR that would make sense, wouldn't it?
I was referring to the comments. Neither site comes close to the insanity, that is Syracuse.comDisagree. Publishing articles and opinion pieces with comments is what they do.
Like it or not, he is an authority on SU Athletics. He has a blog with a crap ton of fans visiting and a microphone in front of him. I agree some of the writers have taken on a self entitled aura and spun a negative web on selected topics, but Sean knows his stuff and he has been doing it a long time. I still enjoy the site.I used to love going to that site, now I rarely visit because of the negative views and the overly critical writers including Keeley. He goes on Axe's show and acts like he is an authority on Syracuse Athletics and the views of it's fans. Haven't agreed with much he has said or written lately.
Just not funny anymore, nor very entertaining.
They set themselves up as experts on everything from marketing to recruiting to play-calling. I don't think they are experts in anything. I take a peek one a week and quickly go elsewhere - mostly Otto'sGrove now.I used to love going to that site, now I rarely visit because of the negative views and the overly critical writers including Keeley. What do you constitute an authority then. Are you saying he doesn't know factual information about SU sports history? Of course he does. It is all opinion based material, ones that you don't agree with obviously. At the same time, ESPN, Axe etc... invite him on the show because he is considered an authority.Just because you have a forum does not make you an authority. There are plenty of people that have a forum and lots on ESPN that are complete idiots that nobody in their right mind would consider an authority.
Any clown with an opinion does not constitute being an authority and any clown can have a blog which is what his site is.

AS I said, like it or not he is considered one. You both have your opinions, but you are not invited onto major media outlets to voice your opinion because you are not considered an expert. He is, that is the difference. Perception is reality.
For me it is the negativism (which BTW is what gets you on radio and TV) and how full of themselves they have all become. Not so attractive. Agree 100%, they all want to be legends and cutting edge but they are really just obnoxious and bring such little value to anything. It's just total white noise as they look for more clicks. They can't write anything positive with respect to shafer or the program because that's not what cny people want to read. They want to bitch and moan.
I'm going to start my own blog and website. Riley Dixon is an absolute magician and start posting nonsense. Is this really what his career aspirations are to post shite like this? Is this how one gets ahead in this field? I'm just curious.
What does he actually know about Fred Reid and the job he does
Great, now is IB starting his own blog, Riley Dixon Is An Absolute Magician and then he can be an authority on SU Athletics too just like Keeley.
He gets on those shows because he built a brand and did a good job of it.
LOL, he should really think before he mentions the Fred Reed firing option. I dont think alot people here realize how much Shafer works with the corners. If you want to fire the corner coach, good luck because he is also the Head Coach.
