So, there are lots of factors in play.
#1 is salary. #2 is money for ACs / staff. #3 is the Dome renovations. #4 is housing.
The on-the-field results speak for themselves. Babers proved that we can compete with the best teams in the conference, including a team that has been in the college football playoffs the past three seasons. We aren't even close to being optimized from a personnel perspective, although the work Babers and staff have done turning over a subpar roster is incredibly impressive in such a short span of time. We're on the cusp of this program being a perennial top 25 squad, with perhaps higher upside.
Heck, we're only a handful of plays away from being 11-1. Coulda-shoulda-woulda... but Babers has proven that he can win at a high level here.
So -- in terms of the above, we know that the Dome renovations begin in 2020. I'm sure that the AD is all over #1 and #2 above. This isn't the past -- we're earning ACC revenues, the athletic department is running in the black, and being able to pack the Dome [which should be more likely moving forward, no that the community and casual fanbase sees the product on the field] should help with revenues, as well. I don't think that opening the coffers will be as challenging as much as it has been in the past.
I trust Wildhack's business / leadership acumen, and know that he isn't going to be outdone. We're in good hands, he'll take care of Dino and staff.
