Traditional Transfer

Another sign the landscape is changing
the increase in salaries for the Gleague is going to entice the 1 and done type prospects to even skip the 1 and done year of college
its too bad for the CBB fans and nostalgists, just more erosion for this level
Very bad long term development for college basketball fans. The product has already degraded over the past decade, and now less high level talent will be coming in. NCAA and the Presidents blew it in not liking at wholesale reform of the system, including compensation for some athletes in some sports.

Tyrese Martin

How TF did we let Hurley get this dudel!!!! 12 and 7 big athletic guard screams zone specialist to me! How did Jim miss this guy???

He’s cant shoot, undersized for our forwards. He really isnt all that good

Uconn and TT involved with everyone...if TT lands some of these guys they are after and if Ramsey stays (hes probably leaving) then Vladislav Goldin will definitely be available. Just crazy how some of these schools are involved with everyone. Syracuse is VERY selective with how they recruit.

Wasn’t sure where to add this, but this is a weird final 3 for a very good player. I am going to guess Georgia as that’s where he’s from.

Yea that is a strange final 3...pretty sure he had a long list of good schools wanting him. If hes from GA then that's probably the safe bet. Ole miss is a no...but never count out good ol Memphi$ and penny.

Yanno I’m not usually a negative Nancy and I understand kids leave their schools for all sorts of reasons. Some good and some bad but man do I miss college basketball and how it was 10-15 years ago.

I’m always going to love college basketball, I’ll always be a diehard Cuse fan but I miss the days when transfers were rare, you had program guys, 3-4 year players loaded on every roster. 400+ transfers and the grad transfer rule is just ridiculous at this point, and it really has become a free agency. It really makes you wonder how it came to this.

This is so true. And at the end of the day I think this will lead to a faster JB exit more than anything else ( although 75 is still 75).

Thing is JB took his medicine for 2 probation's ( you can argue their merits), but the overlords of the NCAA have ruined the college game more than any collection of coaches ever could.

Lastly, let the the Gleague take these one and dones, becaure, 1. I think we would see who the best tactical coaches are with a more level playing field . 2. We wouldn't be looking at full on NBA auditions from certain players

On a zoom clinic the other day some UA football staffers said their biggest concern along with everyone in college football is that the kids are home and may decide to transfer to stay closer to home because of the quarantine.
Makes sense...already been seeing it happen with a few recruits. Specifically some we have recruited. Griffin we landed. Tape stayed close to home. The VT transfer has GA in his top 3 and very well might pick them because hes from there. Different times and recruiting for our staff is probably pretty damn interesting right now. *for basketball* I just realized you mentioned it for football but same thing applies.
