yah, interesting. but would he consider staying on the East coast to play.

The number of guys who end up playing at 3 schools continues to grow. (Despite Orangehulk's strenuous objections.)http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/61570/lj-rose
Interesting grad transfer here for some PG depth. Battled lots of injuries, but when healthy averaged around 10 ppg and 5 apg. Good size at 6'3 to play at the top of the zone as well.
Rose is solid. He's more PG than scorer/shooter, so him and Howard might be a bit redundant if Battle handles the ball a lot, but would be a good pickup regardless. I'm guessing he can find a starting role somewhere, or at least 25-30 minutes. Not sure that's available at SU right now...http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/61570/lj-rose

Maybe it's asking to much, but here's to us recruiting a starting quality PG who's willing to divide his minutes!Rose is solid. yeah, as Francis and others have surmised, it's pretty unlikely Hami would reclass and come here if Mal is coming back. would be one helluva consolation though to get him if Mal does leave... or of course if he stays '17 and picks usWouldn't that mean Mal was gonzo. We are in great shape with Diallo from what I gather and honestly he may wind up being better than Duval in the long run but if he tries to reclassify I think the NCAA is going to be looking at that transcript very closely. Diallo is one of those truly gifted athletes that makes the amazing look effortless. He covers almost as much ground as Stevie did back in the day with his two steps.
I get it and I don't get it at the same time. He's a 5* and likely has one and done NBA aspirations, but wouldn't a year of practicing against and occasionally playing high level D1 college ball be better than another year in HS before getting that "one and done" year? It would just be his soph year and not a frosh year.it's pretty unlikely Hami would reclass and come here if Mal is coming back.

Another guard recently available in the 5th year market. Shot 43% from 3.
I hear you and don't disagree about the late timing, but I am still confident we'll get there when all is said and done.It feels like the Mullins ship is about to sail by, unfortunately.
Really strange to not hear our name mentioned with anyone other than Dembele (and Taurean Thompson, I guess) at this point. Would have thought we'd be involved with a few more kids, given we have 3 to give. Awful late to have 3 left, especially for a team that is already -2 to begin with on the scholarship front.
He said it wasn't set yet, not that they would be getting three more players. It could be "set" with one additional big man. And multiple players competing for PG duties could just mean two.
I remain cautiously optimistic though.
Wow, Jordoo .. you did a full-on, CIA analysis of the tweet. I'm surprised you didn't include satellite imagery and dossiers on all the candidates.I was ecstatic when I first read that tweet but like you the more I broke it down the more I realized that it could mean a lot of things. I'm still hopeful that we add a guard but "PG duties" doesn't even really mean PG and "multiple" is anything other than 1. We know Frank and Tyus will likely be involved already. Still my optimism tells me that if we weren't adding a player would would also be involved in the backcourt then Hop wouldn't have gone to the trouble. We shall see.
Could be worse. Look at the UNLV disaster. Hired a coach last week, who just picked up and left for Texas Tech. Only has 4 returning players (1 is a walk-on), with 1 of those possibly leaving via grad transfer, and only 3 signed freshmen (who I'm guessing aren't too happy about all this)...It feels like the Mullins ship is about to sail by, unfortunately.
