UConn Game Thread...

The entry pass from the top of the circle to the low block is killing us. JM&J!

He catches the ball and sets up to take his man off the dribble to the basket...only to look up and see that his man is already waiting for him under the rim, playing off him ten feet...and its as if he has no plan B. If you cant hit a 10 foot jumper at even a 40 percent clip, they do this to you.

I love Tyler, but every time he catches the ball on the offensive end he looks like a robot figuring out how to play basketball.

we are quite terrible at defending the interior pass to the baseline. Not sure if its the guard denial, or the bigs..but someone is woefully missing their assignments.
I think is both...

It's both, that pass is a lot tougher to make if the guards put more pressure on the ball at the perimeter. It seems they're waiting for the ball to move around the arc so they can chase it. And the wings are standing out on the perimeter when the ball iis high, instead of sagging back in toward the lane. Lydon can't cover that all by himslef.

I think what we're learning on this trip is that Lydon is the key. So many positive things happen when he touches the ball.

These fouls beingcalled on roberson are straight garbage. Michael Stevens is the worst.

what I first noticed about this kid was his hands. He catches the ball clean with vice like grip. That's a skill you cannot teach.

Would be nice if we could get a freaking call. Tons of contact on our offensive end.

odds of us not turning the ball over after the stupid use it or lose it timeout?

Silent G still hasn't figured free throws out, left way to many points out there.

People who don't want to have an on-going series with UConn are just out of their minds, IMO. This is so much fun. Beating these guys would make my Thanksgiving.

Second half will see UConn go back to pounding it inside. We don't have nearly enough fouls left to give.
