Breschi recently got a 3 year extension?! Wow. I think his teams have severely underachieved, when you consider the program history, the NCs, the Nike money, the alum network, the quality of the school, the size of the school.

Aside from the National Championship run in 2016, the guy has missed the playoffs and the teams have been .500 quite a few times in the last few years. If he was at Cuse, I imagine he'd have been run out of town years ago.

2016 is a decade ago. They have a 1st round loss in 2025, a Final Four in 2021, and a 1st round loss in 2017. That's not good enough at a program like UNC. I mean, they typically have the #1 recruiting class every single year. The guy has FIVE 1st round losses in his career. That's not good enough at a top 5 all-time program. 7-7 and 8-7 at UNC is NOT getting the job done. I'm not quite sure why his mediocre track record is being rewarded with an extension. Dude basically has TWO good seasons in the last NINE and one was last year and they got worked in the 1st round by a severe underdog. Plenty of good coaches winning at much smaller schools without the pedigree and $$$. Go hire one of them. Such as...Chamotti at Richmond, who beat them last year in the playoffs...
