Uniform of the day...

Our uniforms are trending in the right direction, but still work to be done (white numbers!). I am quite confident that our new AD will be an asset to this end.

That said, it just bums me out when schools like UVa, Clemson and Illinois do a WAY WAY better job with their uniforms, many of which are orange, than we do.

in order of preference

1. Orange-Orange-Orange
2. Orange-White-Orange
3. Orange-Orange-White
4. Orange-Blue-Orange
5. Orange-White-White

i dont even want to see Orange-Blue-White

Saw the Illini unis briefly on TV. No bueno. I thought they were Indiana at first. Our unis would be real sharp with a little tweaking, but generally the ones we have now are really growing on me.

SU should've gone with their away white jerseys and made LSU wear their purple ones. I believe LSU hates wearing those and is why they seldom ever do...a la the Dallas Cowboys relative to their blues...
a little backstory on this. The reason we wear whites at home is because of the heat down here in South Louisiana for the early games. Last week for the Auburn game, we had game time temperatures of 95 degrees, with humidity over 90% and a heat index over 110. We don't necessarily mind the purple when it feels nice out.

I actually kind of like the LSU purple jerseys.

I assume this is Helmet-Jersey-Pants?

Can't squeeze Orange-Orange-Blue in there. Just for me? Just for one game to see what it looks like?

I always asked Jake C about trying it when he was letting us trot out there with the all orange fashion no-no's of yesteryear. He always said Jim Brown wore orange pants, we'll always wear orange pants. Well, now that that rule has been broken...

You certainly would know more than I. However, a few years back here in Charlotte, I worked with an LSU fanatic...great guy. We actually went to an LSU game together, a night game in Death Valley...a 14 hour road trip. It was awesome! He gave me a lot of history, his version of why Baton Rouge is the true Death Valley and how Tiger Rag is also first to the Bayou Bengals vs. your cousins to the northeast in Clemson. :) He also talked about the white vs. purple jerseys...I don't recall it being just because of the heat, but I really don't recall much from that trip between the beers and Crown Royal, his drink of choice. :) I believe LSU annually closes its regular season games with the Razorbacks...that is always a Friday game after Thanksgiving. I don't think I've even seen LSU wear their purples then or really anytime (when it's up to them)...even when it's cool out.

I'm not a fan of the SEC, I guess it goes back to the '87 Sugar Bowl and Pat Tie Dye being the reason. However, although today I'm really not in touch with my once upon a time LSU colleague, I often recall that great experience and road trip he took me on...and often find myself routing for LSU. :)

what started out as a concern with the heat morphed into a tradition.

and we no longer close out with Arky on the Friday after Thanksgiving. now we play TAMU every other year on Thanksgiving, and the other years at home against them the Saturday after.
