Is that something we will know ten days out? Any guesses? What’s the word on the street?

ACC wise that matters

Miami-Duke
Pitt/SMU
Lou/Clem
VT/SU

SU/Pitt winner becomes a more desired OPP The winner is solid in the top 25
Lou/Miami decides much as well

Zero inside info here, just want to guess to see how close I can get:

ACC network 12:00 - Miami/Duke
ACC network 3:30 - VT/SU
ACC network 8:00 - Pitt/SMU
ESPN 7:00 - Lou/Clem

Getting very sick of all the SEC on ABC.

They had 4 games on 2 Saturdays ago. It is a good league but good grief.

Anyway, Florida vs Georgia is already booked for ABC on week 10 at 3:30 pm.

I would hope the ACC can get one of the slots on ABC but maybe not.

Here is the full slate of ACC games, all of which will be played on Saturday:

Duke @ 6 MiamiHard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
Louisville @ 10 ClemsonMemorial Stadium (Clemson, SC), Clemson, SC
20 Pittsburgh @ 21 SMUGerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas, TX
Stanford @ NC StateCarter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, NC
North Carolina @ Florida StateDoak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL
Virginia Tech @ SyracuseJMA Dome, Syracuse, NY

There are six games all told (lots of teams out with byes). I am thinking this means we will likely see 2 noon games, 2 3:30 games and 2 7:30 games.

The SEC games are nothing special and I don't know if any of them are ABC worthy. But the SEC gets good ratings and they will almost surely give them a second game on ABC. Probably the noon game. My guess is Vandy at Auburn.

Vanderbilt at AuburnSECABC, ESPN Networks, SEC Network or ESPN+
Ole Miss at ArkansasSECABC, ESPN Networks, SEC Network or ESPN+
Texas A&M at South CarolinaSECABC, ESPN Networks, SEC Network or ESPN+
Kentucky at TennesseeSECABC, ESPN Networks, SEC Network or ESPN+

Thinking Duke @ Miami gets the 7:30 pm slot on ABC. That looks like the most attractive game ratings-wise.

Thinking the Stanford @ NC State game is the least attractive game and is likely going to be the CW game and will have a noon kickoff.

One of these SEC games will probably get the night slot on ESPN.

Thinking an ACC game will be on ESPN2 at night. Probably UL @ Clemson. They like to feature the known draw on night games.

I am thinking they schedule the SU and Pitt games at 3:30 pm. One goes on ESPN2 and one on ACCN. The team that wins (SU or Pitt) next week gets the ESPN 2 slot. The other gets ACCN.

So I say...

Stanford @ NC State noon CW
I am going to be homer and say
VT @ Syracuse 3:30 ESPN2
Pitt @ SMU 3:30 ACCN
Duke @ Miami 7:30 ABC
UL @ Clemson 7:30 ESPN2

If Pitt beats Syracuse, I think that Pitt @ SMU game has to be played at night. I guess you just switch the slots assigned to Clemson and Pitt in that case.

Hard to see any situation where we get a 7:30 pm kickoff. It is a shame VT has been so disappointing this season.

Waiting for our time slot against BC. Definitely my away game this season since I couldn't get to UNLV thanks to covid. Was planning on Army before all that changed.
my away game too

CW is more for Tier 3

VT at Cuse probably will be higher.
speaking of CW, I didn’t realize that's where Thom Brennerman has resurfaced after his ouster from Fox and the Reds. Can’t remember the game I watched there a couple of weeks ago but he was calling the game.

sounds like they'll wait and exercise a hold if they want to see who wins next week.

When the best matchups are not crystal clear, that is normally what is done. They might assign the CW game and leave everything else open.

If Pitt and SMU keep winning, that could be a great matchup.

Really wish the University and Confernce could figure this out sooner than the standard 11 days out of whatever. It's homecoming weekend and there are TONS of events to coordinate

Yeah. It's one reason why I'm refusing to watch any SEC games. I don't care how good the match up is.
Yeah the ACC used to have many Saturdays of two games on ABC, that is in the past. The ACC now has Saturdays with no ABC games like what I’m seeing for next week.
