are the minutes played by the three non starters.
If it is one of them we may be fine.

All the starters played 30+ minutes
Yeah, and consider stoppages, free throws, reviews, out of bounds, etc. Clearly more time than that. But we play zone, baby!

Yeah so think of the chaos.

we could take Gonzaga’s spot as the overall #1, or can become a 16 to play them In round 1
I think the 1-bid conferences get to replace the team with the next best team. For example, Syracuse wouldn't replace Mt. St. Mary's. Wagner or Bryant would.

You have no clue how the kid tested positive.
I have no clue. This post just assumes automatically I am wrong when you have no clue. I could be wrong or I could be right. Have you heard of assumption of risk?
Also yes some is to blame if they tested positive. It’s beside the point if this relates to sports. I think when one person in a group following rules and protocols tests positive it’s likely they did something wrong.

The tournament could get canceled and I wouldn’t really care that much. I believe the kid likely didn’t follow protocols. OMG somebody is wrong and it’s an opinion.
The more you post, the more I have to shake my head. Somebody isn't always wrong in a pandemic. Good Lord.

How do these positive tests always come up after the game is played? Like I'm assuming every team gets a rapid test the morning of the game and then another after. The morning test doesn't pick this up somehow???
They also come up before the game...right before the game! Remember the two Louisville games!

Biggest threat might be contact tracing and whatever the current rules around that are...but anyone who’s already had covid would be (should be) be excluded from potential quarantine issues.

Yeah we can get positives up to 5 days after now.

Our team has to be shutdown from practicing to limit exposure.
At this point why worry about limiting exposure? Practice as a team or shut down when someone tests positive as a team. As of now, there is no tomorrow

that would be common sense so idk .. lol

replacement teams will only be made for teams that have to drop out prior to 6pm Tuesday night. After that, the opponent just moves forward as we’ve seen in the ACCT.
that is what i meant i just wasnt sure of exact cut off date

OMG my point it has nothing to do with the pandemic.

If you believe this then all college sports should be cancelled now.

Good lord to you. The kid who tested positive I pray fully recovers and is fine.

Somebody isn’t always wrong in a pandemic. Yeah that isn’t the point being debated good job moving the goalposts.

Miles Leonard isn’t wrong now for being an idiot because we are in a pandemic. Somebody isn’t always wrong. How about people can be at fault and response is appropriate to the situation.
Jeez all I said from the beginning is the player that tested positive IMO was likely responsible now you and Scooch want to fight this mill-tenth decimal of specificity.

So conceivably a team could win the title without playing a game?

If the right teams have to drop out at the right times moving forward.

Give it a rest! You're not in court

I just love the mental knots we tie ourselves in.

CDC sez 15 minutes of exposure! As if exposure doesn't happen until after 15 minutes.

So let's check minutes played! As if guys under the minutes couldn't still have problems, and as if minutes played perfectly represents exposure time.

It's a weird world we live in, and we're all trying to understand the rules.
