Virginia has a COVID case - out of ACCT - potential SU impact?

Why are we assuming this
That Norlander has said the positive was from a player who played yesterday and if UVA cancels their season at this PC it’s safe to assume it’s a big time player who
Tested positive.

If the test is from this morning and not yesterday, or even yesterday but post game, and they instant tested negative before the game are we in the clear technically? Technically we wouldnt have had a contact? Anyone know when the test is from?

The travel quarantine hasn't impacted us before, so that's not the worry.

I'm referring to the quarantine when exposed to a close contact. That's what happened after the UB game:
There is no test-out option in the state, meaning any Tier 1 personnel in those programs (coaches, players, medical people, managers, etc.) must serve the entire 14-day quarantine period. Subsequent negative tests do not matter. The state mandates that period must be served because it believes people can be infected with Covid for up to two weeks after being closely exposed to a positive case.

That’s not how it works in other states and in other college basketball programs around the ACC. A survey of eight ACC programs for specifics on their contact tracing protocols turned up some interesting information. (We’re assuming that programs in the same state -- North Carolina, Florida -- would adhere to the same protocols.)

Syracuse, at this point, seems to be the only school required to spend 14 days in quarantine after close contacts with a Covid positive case.

If this is still in place and we're back in NY, aren't we forced to quarantine? Or will the microchips give us a shot?
What if we don't go back to new york? If they wait around in N.C. until they know what the test results are what would the state of NY have to say about it? probably moot because they are probably already back in Syracuse but if they weren't, I wouldn't go back until I knew where everything played out.

Come on. There are tons of ways someone can be inadvertently exposed. I tend to be suspicious of people who trot out the tired "but I was so careful" line, but there are literally millions of people who got this highly infectious virus through no fault of their own.
Yup. The CDC did a survey and 85% of those infected with covid-19 said they wore a mask most or all of the time.

Their college kids with a 99.99% survival rate let them live there life’s. Its time that we stop letting a strain of the flu stop us from living are life’s.
How about the coaches? The refs? The people that work in the arena? the tv people? The radio people? The people that work at the hotel? 530,000 dead. Including a 27 year old healthy er nurse from my town. College hoop is down the list from important things when compared to the virus.

How? If players and coaches are following the rules. The exposure risk should be close to 0%.

These coaches and players are giving up freedoms to essentially play.

Does the ridiculous contact tracing requirements still apply for the 7-Day NCAA bubble? In other words, if none of our players test positive, or only the players who tested positive sit out, aren't we in the clear?

I was doing a CR impression I’m offended that you think that could genuinely come from me

Obviously, a lot of those people are lying. Or have a warped sense of what "all or most" means. But the point remains that slagging a UVA player, assuming they were running around maskless and asking infected people to spit in his mouth, is a bad take.

Here's my elite eight and final four prediction:

Elite Eight
East - Bye vs Bye - Bye Wins
South - Alabama vs Bye - Alabama Wins
West - Bye vs Bye - Bye Wins
Midwest - Iowa vs Tennessee - Iowa Wins

Final Four:

Alabama vs Bye
Iowa vs Bye

Final Game

Alabama vs Iowa - Alabama Wins

Really? I treasure the years we make it to the sweet 16. First, we get to play in a really big game. Second, all the time leading up to that game are pure excitement. Thinking, hey, we are just a couple of wins away from a final four. We have only made 4 of those. I enjoy the journey.

I agree. Since yours is the 2nd similar type reply to my post, apparently the insertion of the emoticons was a swing and miss on my behalf. :)
