Washington Huskies

How do people like you not understand that Jim Boeheim will go out when he feels like going out..I know it’s frustrating that Syracuse doesn’t seem to be Syracuse anymore but the guy deserves it bottom line.

Noones saying fire him. A year from now looks like the perfect time to make the switch.

Right before Buddy's senior season? No chance

I don't think the rosters are comparable but that's just my opinion. You do have to ask yourself if Stewart is that great - comparing him to one of the best big guys in the country in Carey - then why is his team on the way to a 3-15 record in the P-12? I get he's not surrounded by much but damn if he were that big of a stud then by accident they'd win a few more games.

Because it’s a team sport. Same reason I think he’d be a bigger help to us than you do. I think what he brings in rebounding and in the middle on defense and offense would better offset some of the weaknesses in our guards that we are seeing exploited now.

'k Isiah Stewart...and yes, I'm being petty. He made his choice, good for him. We may be down, but SU bball pines for no one. JMHO

Isiah Stewart would have made us instantly better. The matchup problems he would have caused, the foul situation, the depth and having Marek playing his proper position. We could have played two bigs, 3 guards and even pressed. It's as idiotic as saying Bazley wouldn't helped. Some of you need to take a 101 course. Teams triple team Stewart because nobody else can score out there. He would have feasted here, because he will pass it back out.

Isiah Stewart decided to go to Washington. Great for him and I have no ill will. Why would I?

Neither do I care about some hypothetical of "but what if he did?" He didn't.

Maybe we could discuss how many more wins SU would have if different officials had reffed every game, but why? It would not matter, because they were not playing defense at the top of the zone or the middle, the bottom or the side.

Their sizes and numbers are certainly comparable. Their teams obviously are not.

Carey had 26 points and 17 rebounds against us while Bourama had 8 and 7. Yet were ahead most of the first half and lost by 9.

I think Carey is a stronger offensive player than Stewart right now.

I get that it's a team sport.
Stewart inserted in our lineup still does not get the talent on our team on a par with the elite teams in the country. Would we be better? For sure. A lot better? I don't see it. I'd say at least three of the other four SU starters are guys that would traditionally come off the bench for a standard SU team during JB's tenure.

I guess he'd magically improve our 275th ranking in rebound margin and our 173rd ranking in 3 pt FG%? C'mon man you can't look past our deficiencies like that and assume they all go away. And I haven't even mentioned perimeter defense unless you figure Stewart solves that issue as well.

Yes, he would improve both. He is an animal on the boards and would demand help defense. Guess what that would do? Bingo, give someone better open looks. Hence, he would make us instantly better. Its magic.

A lot of cities with crappy basketball programs are upgrades from Syracuse.

Tired of hearing about how amazing of a job Washington is.

Its a starter house program.
I’m with you. I guess the question is how much value hop as a west coast guy puts on the other stuff that impacts family and lifestyle. Pretty expensive in Seattle too. Who knows?

He averages what? 1.5 more boards a game than Sidibe. okee-doke.

It's insane how much more active Washington's zone is compared to ours. Alarmingly insane.

No clue what happened to Washington's season but they've looked much better the last couple of games.

Combination of youth, inability to score late in games, inconsistent shooting, and erratic play by athletic but not "offensively developed" players I guess. Either way... Stewart is ridiculously fun to watch.

Slightly off topic I love hearing Walton calling games.

“If hypocrisy were food there would be no hunger on Earth.”

First half gem right there.
