And I'm really worried how we replace a lot of these seniors- especially the ones on the OL, DL, and LB.

A lot of Doug's big boys will be moving on and the new ones haven't exactly instilled confidence. I guess one good thing about all of the injuries is that most of our backups have game experience now.

We lose only Hickey and Miller off the OL.

The senior day ceremony a complete waste of time. They bring the players and families onto the field to be introduced to an empty stadium. It is an embarrassment. The last time we had a decent senior day was when McNabb took the field for the last time.

the whole pregame thing seemed rushed today they should have started the senior stuff a bit earlier and maybe do it at midfield so everyone notices that its going on

There were almost 30 players on the field. It's almost impossible not to notice.

The only position I think we have trouble replacing next year is Oline. Linebacker the biggest lose is lynch but we have franklin who is a stud, hodge, and thomas and Bennett are going to be solid players. Defensive line I think the DE's next year will be better then this years and for DT we still have Raymon, Williams and coleman as well as the 2 freshman redshirting. We should be fine with those two spots.

They could do it after the game is over ... but they'll be even less people in the stands. :(
give each fan who stays a voucher to a free dome dog after the ceremony :)

Hickey and Reddish. Most worried about replacing those 2.

Especially reddish. Huge drop off after him. As another person at the tailgate said, we might start the best and the worst DB in the ACC. U hope a couple of the young kids are the real deal.

Agree -not sure what happened with Wigham this year after a decent freshman year. Let's hope we have decent young guys ready to play. Eskridge needs to come back, another disappointment this year but doubt that happens.

Welsh, Robinson, Reddish, Hickey, Dyshawn, Lynch, West, Eskridge, Kelly, and Miller. Does Trudo come back?

Who replaces those guys? Watching their backups at various times this season has been a little queasy.

Our LB corp is fine. Welsh and Robinson are good energy guys - but a lot of guys like Johnson and the Thompson better (higher upside). WR will be fine. I'm most worried about the line and the secondary.

Not strong enough

It wasn't pretty when Hickey had to take some plays off either.

Reddish has been unreal. Can't throw a bubble screen to his side. Whigham has just been abused.

Pretty weird switch,. Entering the season, I would've guessed that Whigham was our best cover corner, while Reddish had been a bit of a disappointment up to this year. This year Whigham's had a rough season while Brandon's been an All-ACC caliber player. Really happy for him, and hope Julian has a bounce back.

reddish had a great game but we'd been better served if he'd simply batted down his int at the one. it was 3rd and 4 at the 40. his pick was in fact a great punt.

The ceremony should be at halftime tell the fans with 5 Mins left in the half that its going to happen and do it right away before they head for the head.

Not to the players being recognized and their families, I'm sure. Why would you want to take this away from them?

Huge losses on both sides of the ball and people should be worried about them. I'd add Miller too as we've seen the OL depth isn't what we'd hope it would be, and hopefully some young players take big strides forward.

I did not say I wanted to take it away from them but the university could make it a lot more memorable. How about having the families at midfield, announce the player, and have him run onto the field prior to kickoff. Having them stand there 30 minutes before kickoff with no one in the building is embarrassing.

No one was there fan wise to cheer for these kids and it was embarrassing. I agree they should do it but god forbid the fans show up 15 minutes early and cheer for these guys.

The school needs to get better about promoting things like Senior Day- specifically state that events will be starting at 11:00 or 11:30AM
-get the t-shirt cannon out at 11:45 targeting the student section, kids section, cheap seats with Senior Day t-shirts
-have seniors giving autographs to kids at 11:00 or so till 11:45
-have other GOOD free giveaways for the first 5,000 in the Dome like a McNabb bobblehead or all-time SU highlight DVD
-have someone like McNabb MCing and taking pictures with each senior/family as they get called out
-get the dance team out entertaining people by 11:45

more than anything, make it memorable.
