We are Duke - better athletes, worse shooters, less discipline, and the zone

Some nights we will hit shots and blow other teams out of the gym others we will go cold. The good news is that I think our D is good enough to carry the team though poor shooting nights. The bad news is that we are a donut team, our first four buckets were threes, not good. I have some real problems with our three starting guards because none of them even look for the big guys and they are some of the worst I have seen at feeding the post. I think MCW/Dion/CJ will see a lot of time because the first thee will all have short leashes this year.

Should be fun, I see this team living in the top 10 all year and gunning for at least a 2 seed.

I think we're like pizza. When we go cold, we're not so great, but probably good enough. When we're hot we should be awesome. We got onions with Dion and Scoop always ready to take a big shot, plus we go 9 deep, so when we get the right combo out there we're going to be supreme.

Agree. We aren't like Duke and haven't been. I suspect we'd been Duke more often than not over the last several years. Duke NC team would have beaten us- only year they were tough at all.

I agree that our defense will carry us at times when oure offense isn't clicking. But this team needs to get a consistent
half court offense!!

Defense took Butler to 2 straight NC games. I don't have any issues with D leading us.

So far there is not a lot of point in feeding Fab, Baye or Rak in the post. None of our bigs have a consistent post-up game. Rak had one nice move at about the 5:30 mark in the second half. Resulted in a 3 point play. But that's all we saw. Bernie needs to work his magic again.
