We love you JB, but it’s time

So why is Buddy still in the game?
goodine JG3 and hogwarts are young. i get that. BB logged lots of minutes last year. are we getting any sort of back court leadership from him in the zone . or is his personality not an alpha type ? seems kinda quiet.

I’ll ride with JB until the day he no longer wants to be here. I owe the relationships I have with my father, brother and friends to this program (that he built). Would rather lose with Boeheim than win with someone else. Is this year hard? Not really tbh. What other team do you follow where you don’t have a single horrible year for 40+ years? What we’ve had here has been magically consistent and likely won’t ever be again. I love our coaches. I love our guards. I love our building. I love our hot dogs. I guess I have a lyrical soul.

You guys all make me sick. First 2 months of hard times in 40+ years and you want to clean house. This isn’t fantasy sports and the grass is unlikely to be greener on the other side.

I would consider being on not allowed to participate in the NCAA tourney due to infractions as hard times but I guess that’s just me

longevity records have their place. but it's one thing to say (for instance) "i served the most hot dogs " as opposed to say " i served the best hot dogs " get my point here. i like good hot dogs.

you must really like colon cancer too.

The first point, I admit - I don't understand AT ALL.

The second point - maybe, maybe not. You have examples like UNC/Guthridge , IU/Mike Davis and UConn/Ollie on one hand, and MSU/Izzo and Kansas/Self on the other. That said, Davis and Ollie both took their teams to the FF, with Ollie winning a fluke championship...

His ability to so naturally refer to himself in the 3rd person was unprecedented.

Dusty, Flair, Piper, Heenan, Rock. The Mt Rushmore of promos.

I love DiBiase on the stick too. Tough to find him a place with the guys you mentioned but he's right there.

old school here.george animal steele, mad dog vachon, killer kowalski and edward carpentier in my day.

first black friday. then cyber monday. is this canyourcoach wednesday ? record # of orders today.

For those of you who say next year will be worse, I guess you don't expect any improvement from anyone. And if JB isn't here it will definitely be worse.

Even this year I expect improvement especially from the freshman.
We won't have the competitive team we are used to, mainly because of overall inexperience and a lot because we don't have a competent big man that can give us some decent defense.

Blame what we have on whatever you want but those reasons are water over the dam.

JB is not a miracle maker. Neither is he becoming senile and forgetting what he knows about coaching.
Where are those I have always agreed with that have said JB does some of his best work when he has some of the least talent?

LGO

“I served the most hot dogs” — Chip

“I served the best hot dogs” — Millhouse

“I like good hot dogs” — tbonezone

This is the entitlement mentality that pervades every nook and cranny of American culture at this point in time.

In the spirit of “hard times” I encourage everyone to watch possibly the greatest wrestling promo ever cut.

And yet in the end, if I had to rank the order of who Dusty cared the most about in that by importance, it goes...

1. John ‘The Duke’ Wayne
2. Dusty ‘The American Dream’ Rhodes
3. Ric ‘The Nature Boy’ Flair

For some the sun will never come out tomorrow because they choose to have dark thoughts.
dark thoughts ? it's you who seem happy living in the basement. i want this program to go up the roof and soar !

The only thing you want that would give you satisfaction is for Coach Boeheim to be gone. You don't give a rats behind about the program.

No Sweet Sapphire?

I know we're way off topic here, but who cares? Here we have The American Days slapping Baby Doll. A great promo all around. Tully was one of the best as well:

Unfortunately that’s exactly what we’re expecting..

If JB can’t recruit on the level needed, we need to be great at developing players.

A) I don’t see much development on a player level or a conceptual team level. One player a year seems to improve, while everyone else looks the same in their skill level, and somehow, even their physical bodies

B) We have two players that look like they belong playing big minutes on an ACC team right now... Hughes and Guerrier. Our big men don’t improve and can’t even put on weight. Our guards, outside Carey, look slow, unathletic and small... not much you can change about that.

C) Hughes is the only player anyone fears, and if he bolts, or even if he stays, I don’t understand how anyone sees this team having any better than middle of the ACC pack ceiling given no real studs, again, in our recruiting class.

Potentially looking at Buddy, Girard, Guerrier, random string bean PF/C’s... Anyone who thinks that lineup next year can do anything is basing it purely on hope. Recent evidence does not support that hope. Also, hope isn’t a strategy.

Two years in a row of this without starting a new chapter, and we’re just digging a deeper grave to climb out of.
