Not so. See post #43 above.I didn't even know until today the official color is orange and gray. I'd much rather orange and gray uniforms.

At least the stupid gray ones are gone. I remember that VT upset in 2016, not even knowing which team was Syracuse at first.

I may be late, but did you see what Tulane wore when they played Houston!?tulane wears lots of green
but our dedicated intern at nike doesn't like the color orange
I lean toward a more traditional look too, but to say we are with those other programs is inaccurate. We have history but we have not maintained success consistently across eras the way they have and are viewed differently. I don't like that, but it's the truth. We have 1 NC from the '50's and one Heisman from the '60's. All of them have multiple undefeated seasons, NC's, and Heisman's spread across multiple eras.
If I recall correctly, SU has in the past both worn white helmets as well as white pants. This goes back to the saying when something is subjective nobody's opinion is right or wrong. When its objective its quantitative and measurable. Preference for the jerseys is clearly not objective its subjective.
Thus nobody is right or wrong as long they have their own opinion.
Awesome, thanks, now most of us got it.I got no problem with blue being the color we use to go with Orange. I am just stating the fact blue isn't an official color. The second color could literally be any color.
It has been blue for a while but teams change color schemes all the time.
It could become black and orange, white and orange, pink and orange, light blue and orange. I am just pointing the fact blue isn't a school color.
I don't think the above is true. Rutgers, TTech, Stanford all wear black uniforms too. Rutgers has as many combos as SU. Tulane actually has light blue uniforms this year.duke always wears a lot of blue
stanford, alabama, texas tech, harvard, rutgers always wears a lot of red
tulane wears lots of green

I'm not telling you to treat the program in any manner. I don't think the uniform combinations we've seen equates to reducing the program to a lower level.I see.
So we should treat the program as a second rate program?
We should look like a MAC team? Or we should look like UCF or USF or some other mediocre program?
That's not what I choose to do.
I choose to view the program as a cornerstone college football tradition that deserves respect.
I believe that the program should be viewed, presented and treated the same way that Alabama treats its program or the way USC treats its program.
If you think you are inferior, you will never convince kids to think otherwise.
So, I would do as Alabama, USC, Texas, Auburn do.
I would do what the NY Yankees do.
I would forego the gimmick uniforms and I would fully embrace the program's traditional brand.

Haha, you might be on to something...I’m just saying what she won’t.![]()
Are the Bluemen gonna run out of the tunnel to a little Eiffel 65?
most of those, they're wearing something orange. which makes sense that's our team nameWhat we are “supposed” to look like is all very relative to what you’ve witnessed.

Most people just read the name and go...hey...its Syracuse. Works for me.Well if you want a different mishmash of colors every week then knock yourself out. I prefer the colors that say SU to people watching on TV with some semblance of continuity.
Awesome thanks, it still doesn’t change the point he is making we are the Orange and not the “blues”.We are wearing orange lids and there is a lot more orange accents on our "blues" than there were previously.
Could not agree more. I never understood the "we must only wear O-B-O home & O-W-O away crowd". Yes, those were the combos during one our most successful eras (mid 80's - 2001) but that wasn't always the case. Don't get me wrong, I love that look but I don't buy the "that doesn't look like Syracuse' argument for different combos. What we are “supposed” to look like is all very relative to what you’ve witnessed.

I get it, some of you want Syracuse to have an identity like Bama, USC & Ped ST (well maybe not them) but we are not like them and probaly will never be.
it goes without saying our helmets should be orangeWe are wearing orange lids and there is a lot more orange accents on our "blues" than there were previously.
Syracuse is 1 Gordie fluckin Lockbaum from having 2 Heismans.I lean toward a more traditional look too, but to say we are with those other programs is inaccurate.
