Did tom Brady wake-up and say hey I want to come checkout a cuse game. No he took an appearance fee from aw. That’s called benefiting.
That arrangement was always confusing to me. Brady and Gisele were worth about a billion dollars together. How much money could Weitsman possibly offer Brady to make it worth his while to schlep up to Syracuse, NY on a weeknight? And then, what is the tangible value and return on investment of Tom Brady sitting quietly and looking half-interested (at best) in a Syracuse basketball game?

Whatever it cost, Edelman and Fallon came for free. Not a bad deal. Those videos are STILL amazing to watch. Especially for a game we lost.

I was thinking that maybe Brady did it as a favor to Gronk. But, who knows.

I thought Jimmy Fallon directing the band was very cool and a lot of fun. But again, it's just so bizarre. Like how does Southern Tier Recycling Mogul guy get national celebrity Jimmy Fallon to come up to Syracuse for 16-13 Cuse vs. 12-17 UNC on a whim for free?

My understanding is, Adam set up the deal with Brady and the other two tagged along. And, the other two, especially Jimmy Fallon made for an unbelievable experience.

We got a long way to go, and a short time to get there. Kind of like the Big Dance!

Jimmy Fallon has spent plenty of time around CNY and the Albany area. He went to St Rose. Alot of people that went to these types of schools without sports programs followed Cuse Hoops since they didn't have their own sports. Gets around to upstate NY bars and restaurants too. it's pretty well documented. Maybe charity was involved but I could see him more interested in a Cuse hoops game than most.

The school says differently. And it is impossible for us to know where the truth lies.
I agree, it's a mess. I do believe Adam, but if the university says differently it is hard to know who to trust. I suppose if one side could provide proof?

Jimmy Fallon had SU connections before Adam. I remember how often he loved talking about Rakeem Christmas, his #25 jersey and SU even on his show. This was back around 2013, 2014.

This isn't hard. ALL Celebrities have brands.
Does Patrick Mahomes need social media? Of course not.
But he makes something like $50K per post on social media.

These become very viable income streams, even if you're rich.
It's called leveraging the brand. It's part of how you stay in the public eye.

When Brady invested in Birmingham football, was he just a silent investor, or did he go to the games, build up interest in his asset to a more global audience? Do you think these pro athletes around retirement age are trying to figure out how to remain famous when they can't play anymore?

Jason Kelce and soon Travis Kelce will have podcasts as training for future media jobs, and third income streams. I mean they're already doing it, but this is how they keep making money. Or they could go into broadcasting.

These people just don't retire and then garden or bang models in the Mediterranean for the rest of their lives.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Dave literally said on one of his shows that it was none of his own money.

Yeah, I read Ellison was a big player but that they were both involved getting Underwood to Michigan.

It was Ellison’s money. His wife went to Michigan and made it happen, with help from Tom Brady.
