West Coast Trip Game 1 PostGame

didn't watch (too late) but ...lotta folks having trouble admitting the Jackal was probably our best weapon given their past posts. i thought Jyare's numbers also were rather productive. the Maestro needs to hit the weights this summer if he wants to play underneath. he's a nothing burger on D and gets his shot blocked too much on O. people calling for more Moore... (* why ?) and where in the hell is the help defense underneath ? wide open lane.

*(unless of course we need to beat the spread very very too late)

I'm sorry. I must be new around here. Who are the Jackal and the Maestro?

Maybe it's been mentioned, but are they staying in CA for the Cal game? I'd imagine so. Wondering why the Stanford game was on Wed instead of Thurs.

And when we actually ran a nice play down 19-2, it resulted in a wide open 3 for…Petar.

Why not run that set to try to free up Bell/Taylor/Starling?
Stanford probably wanted Petar to take that shot. That’s why he’s wide open. Hak use to tell JB he was always open in the corner. JB said because they want you to shoot that shot. I agree, that you shouldn’t have to be down double digits before you run something.

Yes they're in Cali and stayed the whole week. They landed Monday.

Back in the day in the Pac-10, teams would take a 3 days swing to California and play on Friday / Sunday, or Thursday / Saturday, just like the NCAA tournament.

i'm picking up some bad vibrations.

But can anyone explain why yet again Kyle Cuffe is at the bottom of the rotation.
The box score says he played 8 minutes, scored 6 points, had 2 rebounds and the games only block.
In a game where you would think his high energy, not to mention defense, would be at a premium he was practically ignored. They started down 25-2 for goodness sake.
This is one of the many reasons that I dont understand Reds coaching style.
What has Cuffe done to be treated like a yo yo?
Cuffe's usage is so damn frustrating. I just don't get it. He leaves an imprint on the game. He makes things happen rather than just standing around. He should definitely start but if not, get a hell of a lot more minutes than he's getting.

Does he make some mistakes? Sure, but the good far outweighs the negative. In his last 5 games, he has only 3 turnovers while averaging 7 points (in 14 minutes per game). Meanwhile, we have other guys who finish a game with a bunch of zeroes in the box score who get twice his minutes. Too bad Red doesn't reward playing with purpose, energy, and effort.
