I know we are not going to any NCAA sanctioned postseason tournaments. But these two tournaments are not sanctioned by the NCAA if I understand it correctly.

I know SU wouldn't go to either of these tournaments, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if teams that were on probation did this.

I think we could play in them, but considering you have to pay to play in them, I would doubt we would have any interest.

We self-imposed a post-season ban. No NCAA. No NIT. No CBI. No CIT. Nada.

As I said, I know SU wouldn't go to it. That wasn't the point of the post -- the point is: could they? And what would that mean to the NCAA?

The point of my post was, they couldn't - because the self-imposed a post-season ban. Even if they could, they wouldn't. Probably not good idea to p!ss off the NCAA anymore than they have. ;)

Ain't that the truth! I assumed the "postseason" ban was simply an NCAA sanctioned event postseason ban. Essentially, if this were an NCAA sanctioned ban, could a team still choose to go to a CBI or CIT tourney? I assume they could, was just interested. It would definitely be a shot across the NCAA's bow.

Good question. I don't know. It certainly wouldn't endear us to Mr. Emmert and crew, that's for sure.
