I think I understand what you are saying (Red was notified by JW he won’t be retained), but it reads like you expect SU to announce the new AD and the first course of action the new AD will undertake is to fire Red. We all know that’s not the case.

I think i agree. I could see it either way. New guy comes in and makes the call so Wildhack doesn’t have to end it with someone he had a standing relationship with.

Still, I think it’s better to not force the AD to blow political capital on it. Especially at a place like ‘Cuse where the Board, *ahem* Boeheim, people like that, seem to sometimes live in lala land.
