What has Benny done to deserve...

Yes, but I don’t think everyone posts with the critical seriousness of a senior thesis. It’s conversation. The most absolute and hyperbolic stuff should prolly be smiled/frowned at, not taken as an assertion of absolute fact.
I take people at what they say. Sorry i do that but that is what i do.

That post wasn’t intended for a reason. If it was a joke or trying to make a serious point I don’t know.
But if we do what you say then we let clowns take over and that poster I responded to is a serious poster whom I respect and not a clown like other posters.

Of course we have, 3 and 4 star recruits. Who was the last 5 star that we've had who struggled like this? That's the huge difference here which is largely why many on this board want him to have more minutes so he can find his game (hopefully).

What makes Benny a 5 star? 2-4-7 and ESPN had him as a 4 star. Rivals was 5.

To be fair, it is a message board where people are reading, not hearing what is said.

Many times, it is difficult to tell what is meant as TIC, or what is meant as a true belief.

I have been called out for questioning comments and met with, "You didn't understand I was joking/exaggerating???!!!???"

I usually respond with, "I can only go by what you posted, not what you meant."

Rivals did. The others had him 4.
ESPN had him 89 which is 1 point below 5 star.
If you want to get technical go ahead but I have been told to stop being techincal and use some interruptation.
He was at worst a high 4 star low 5 star.

Somebody did the research there a couple of guys who were highly rated struggling but the overwhelming majority are not.

High or low, he was a 4 star with ESPN (the weakest of the services.) 2-4-7, which imo is the best service, he was also a 4 star. People defer to the highest rating.

Benny was ranked higher than every single recruit coming in next year, correct?

Correct. But since it’s an inexact science it doesn’t say much.

Who was the kid at uk last year that we recruited hard and then threw a temper tantrum on the bench, didn’t play the rest of the year, then transferred. Uk had some other 5 stars that left and went on to bugger things. The kid who played at zags. Also they have the kid now who transferred from wvu last year after playing in like one game.

This about sums up Benny's season. JB threw up his hands in frustration and turned his back on Benny immediately after this in the BC game. I don’t think Benny will be back next year.

I hope you’re wrong. But, if Benny comes back, he needs to spend the summer with some big rough neck dudes that will kick his ass all summer, so that he comes back with some swag and fight. Don’t be defeated, fight for it. I want to see him grab the ball and try to hammer it on someone. I don’t care if he misses. I want to see him go after every rebound, mix it up and be tough. I don’t care if he fouls out in 5 minutes. That’s all he’s getting anyway.

Every kid is different. There will probably be a path for Benny to get more minutes next season. Lots of kids make a big leap between frosh and soph seasons. Is Benny someone who will take the high road or the easy road? Is he a hard worker who can accept some criticism and come back a more complete player"? I don't think anything is cast in stone with Benny's future, but I can see where staying here could be the best decision he makes.

And because in all his years here, we've never seen Boeheim make a face like that or express displeasure.

I hope I am wrong too.

To be honest I can't really remember a player this ineffectual getting as many minutes as Benny has this year.

I guess Brycen Goodine would be close.
Per most analytical date, Jalen Carey looks like he’s probably one of the worst...of course, he still had the 2-3 good games

I am a Benny fan, but there isn't much to argue with there. The reason I want him to get minutes each game is so he will snap out of this funk he is in. Honestly, I thought he would have done it by now. The kid needs to toughen up and get his crap together.

The leap he’d have to make would be unprecedented.. right now I think he’s closer to a D2 player than he is to an above average ACC player
