We all know that Florida is a top 10 team having lost to OSU by only 7 pts. Florida strength is in its backcourt...which is very quick and talented from 3 pt range. So what are keys for Syracuse in this game in order to win...

1. Guard play...and more importantly our four guards playing well and being interchangeable...we will have the opportunity to exhibit four deep guards...fresh legs and capabilities to do different things
--will Scoop play as good defense against Florida guards as he has shown in recent game...is his foot speed quick enough to keep up
--will Scoop be the facilitator we need with a 3-1 TO ratio
--will BT make 3-5 3 pt shots on 6-10 opportunites
--will Dion be Dion and break down the guards for Florida...and score and distribute
--will MCW play 7 plus minutes of good bball with 0 TOs and a couple of assists
--with BT and guards grab at least 6-8 rebounds
2. Centers and PF play
--height advantage here that needs to be used without fouling
--will Melo continue his upswing and continue 6pts-10pts with 8-10 boards without gettng into foul trouble...as well as block 2 shots
-will Christmas demonstrate his defensive prowess and block 2 shots and get 4-6 boards
-will CJ come up big with 8 pts or more and 5-7 boards
-will Keita shake off fumbles and add 5 boards plus 4-7 pts
3. Wings play
--need KJ to be leader in scoring with 16+ plus 5-7 boards
-- Dirty needs two 3's and a couple of boards while playing acceptable defense

If we can do the above, each player contribute in the ranges mentioned we should win going away. Melo and KJ key with Scoop, Waiters, and Triche contributing significantly against their guards...hold guards even in scoring and let Melo and KJ and CJ win the scoring up front

Does UF has a SF or are they going to put Beal on Joseph?

Good question...below is active squad for Florida with comments to follow:

1 Kenny Boynton G 6-2 183 JR Pompano Beach, FL
3 Mike Rosario G 6-3 180 JR Jersey City, NJ
4 Patric Young F-C 6-9 245 SO Jacksonville, FL
5 Scottie Wilbekin G 6-2 175 SO Gainesville, FL
11 Erving Walker G 5-8 171 SR Brooklyn, NY
15 Will Yeguete F 6-7 210 SO Bordeaux, France
23 Bradley Beal G 6-3 207 FR St. Louis, MO
24 Casey Prather G-F 6-6 195 SO Jackson, TN
33 Erik Murphy F 6-10 229 JR South Kingstown, RI
34 Cody Larson F 6-9 225 FR Sioux Falls, SD
35 Walter Pitchford F-C 6-0 216 FR East Lansing, MI

Note that Murphy who is one of the better players is out. With that being the case, Young at 6'9" has already issued a challenge to Melo insofar as eating his lunch...hmmmm...interesting...
Yequette at 6'7 probably guards KJ (Beal is only 6'3) or our PF...then there is the 3 guards who are 6'3 or less...

'Cuse definitely has a size advantage...and this may favor CJ playing more if Christmas/Keita cannot do damage at PF against smaller team.

I see 'Cuse expanding zone nearly all the way to 3 pt line...if we stop the 3 pt shot which Florida does well, our bigs should control the inside...going to be fun to watch...

If my math is correct, our starters are an aggregate 17 inches taller than their starters. That's not even thinking about 6'10 Keita, 6'8 Fair, 6'8 Southerland, or 6'5 MCW.

something worthwhile to note:

Florida outrebounded Ohio State by 9
Young played well against Mr. S...14 points and 12 boards
Murphy not so much...so, this maybe a fight on the boards...OSU is a fairly short team also with Mr. S only 6'9
