What's on your pandora?

I don't use Pandora or Spotify but lately the iPod has been playing The Winery Dogs, DTP, Casualties of Cool, Gotye and Anathema.

Speaking of happy hour and other bar deals...remember "drinkin on Lincoln" at the Brew House? 5 bucks for all you could stomach well drinks and draft beer. I forget how much older I am than you...lol. You were probably like 15.

I was gonna text you, chucky just sold it to a 22 year old kid. Gonna be MVP sports bar. Heard he gutted it. Looks like the tavern is gonna be my spot when I head home.

Sad

Didn't know that (illegal happy hour that is). Same price, hmm, I might have to come back and have some brewskies! Took an Alaskan cruise last summer hitting Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway, including a sea plane ride over the fjords (awesome!), but have never been to mainland Alaska.
anyone stopping in Juneau, drinks on me.
speaking of drinking "Keep on Drinking" by David Bromberg, Only Slightly Mad album

I have an early 90's alternative channel
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Cracker, Bob Mould/Sugar, Blind Melon, Lemonheads, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, the Lightning Seeds, Luscious Jackson, Paul Westerberberg, Mazzy Star

I "thumbed up" some rap and brit-pop (Tupac's "I Get Around" and Republica "Ready to Go") and now it constantly tries to push crap music onto my channel

Hour and 8 minutes left of work, and not much happening here on the ol cusefan.
I need tunes!

Finally! Board Summertime has officially begun! Up next, 50 differents lists to say why poster-demigod-x is your favorite poster.

My Pandora list hasn't received a hefty update in years, especially since my wife jumped over to spotify. It rocks the stereotypical 'wannabe a music snob, but I know shart about music, so here's what my college roomie whom really was a legit music snob used to listen to, sprinkled with shart I've thrown in over the years after hearing a great song in a movie, and crap my wife added to our joint account after hearing about a new band on NPR':

Adele
Alison Krause
Alternative/Indie
Aretha Franklin
Billie Holiday
Bluegrass
Blondie
Blues Traveller
Bright Eyes
Chamber / Baroque (attempting to be smarter without working at it)
Come on Eileen ('sounds like teen Chucks!')
Death Cab for Cutie
Def Leppard
Duelin Banjos
Delta Blues
Feist
Go Down to the River to Pray
Green Day
Hey Jude
Ja Rule
Jack Johnson
Led Zeppelin
LMFAO
Lorde
Lullaby Themes (probably added when my kid was born)
Rusted Root
Ska
The Beatles
The Killers
The Police
The Shins
Traditional Folk
Whiskey in the Jar ('more Chucks love')

Let's see, I've got some weird channels on Pandora

The Tragically Hip
Matthew Sweet
Dropkick Murphys (that's a great channel to get the weekend started)
Tears for Fears
Rush
Saga (my Rush channel wasn't playing enough Rush)
The Killers

I definitely need to add some new ones.

Going to see this band next weekend that is getting back together for the first time since 1998. belizbeha.

I've seen Fattie B rap a bunch of times up here. Really fun stuff.

I don't pandora.. but this Spotify playlist has: Chevelle, All that Remains, As I Lay Dying, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, CES Cru, Tech N9ne, Rameses B, Mr. Fijiwiji, Blackmill, and XXYYXX.
I appreciate the CES Cru and Tech N9ne love. The new Strange Music Inc. collabo album "Strangeulation" is pretty awesome, especially now that Murs signed to Strange Music.

A little off topic but I don't see all the love with Pandora. I used it occasionally, but I find Slacker to be much better. You are not relegated to only six skips an hour and you can fine tune your stations unlike Pandora. I also like the option of playing a single artist station; that is very cool. If you haven't tried it, you might want to give it a try. In addition, you can find locate any song and play it which Pandora does not allow you to do.

Since I commute a lot and don't have xm, I have Pandora's paid subscription ($3.99, I believe) because the commercials get out of hand. I pay for the top level service for Slacker which is something like $9.99. I also have Rhapsody, which is roughly 10 bucks. I like Rhapsody the best for finding artist albums and saving music that I can play later. You can do this with Slacker (for the most part) but Rhapsody has a slicker interface. The downside of Rhapsody is it's radio stations; they suck. Having subscriptions to all three give me a lot of different choices to listen to music which works well for me since I'm on the road so much.

Muse
