Lots of great alternative rock bands on that list. I was a big Classic Rock fan till about 2 years ago then stumbled on an Alternative Rock Station down here in Montgomery, AL. I feel like I'm reborn again with all the great music that they play and is out there. Here's some other groups that I really like:

30 Seconds to Mars
Imagine Dragons
21 Pilots
Fall Out Boy
Airborne Toxic Event
Lorde
Bleachers
New Politics
American Authors
Naked and Famous
Blink 182
Weezer
Grouplove
Phoenix
Linkin Park (mentioned by some already)
Vance Joy

Pandora? Spotify? I have a Martin D-18 and a PRS Standard 22/Blues Jr./ BD-2 distortion pedal. Don't just sit on your asses and listen, learn how to play!

Saw these guys live last week:

Only time I head to Pandora is when beer is in the plans which I'm sure CuseTroop appreciates. As such:

Flogging Molly
Irish Pub Rock
The Cheiftains
The Pogues
Jimmy Buffett

Nice! Looks like they are coming to VT in August. Might have to head out to Stowe to catch them now. Thanks for the recommendation Moo!

Houndmouth are really good. They get comparisons to The Band a lot. Great harmonies and hooks. They have two albums out and get my highest recommendation.

Royal Blood are pretty cool too. They are just two guys (bass and drums). The bassist plays through an arsenal of pedals, so it sounds like he's playing an electric. They were just on Howard Stern last week. Very heavy but catchy songs.

+1 Houndsmouth.

Dig M.Ward, Delta Spirit, and Dr. Dog as well...

Rush always gets a like.

I approve of Catfish and the Bottlemen. Kathleen is a very solid effort.

Check out some new stuff - Tame Impala, Temples, Arctic Monkeys, Bombay Bicycle Club, Elbow, Band of Skulls, Jake Bugg, Tallest Man on Earth, London Grammar, J Roddy Walston & the Business, etc. Lots of good music out there..

If you like this type of music, I'd highly recommend following this playlist on Spotify: "Best Indie of 2011-5" (http://spoti.fi/1Fj1O8j). Over 1300 songs, constantly updated with new music. Set it to shuffle and you're good to go.

The Ramones, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, The Beatles, The Who, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Van Halen (DLR only), The Ramones. Did I mention The Ramones?

George is my favorite Beatle (yeah I know I'm weird) so that's how I started playing it.

Some people like another Beatle better? It's a good profiling question.

Enjoy Houndmouth a lot. Really good folk stuff.

Love the DLR only qualifier. The Mighty Van Halen rules. Van Hagar strayed too closely to Journey. DLR took the frontman role to a new level.

These guys look like a lot of fun! Put a horn section in front of me and you can count on some #44 worthy juking and jiving!

My fiance and I try to see live music shows every weekend. Good for the soul...
