They need to put a decibel meter up. I've measured the top 10 loudest stadiums in the Dome, with a proper meter. (Skip the apps, phones mics can't handle the sound pressure)Sounded good... really good. Announcers noted the noise multiple times...
You literally can't come back from a 21-0 hole without huge home field fan support. That was a tremendous evironment today
They put it up at one point, not sure if it was accurate. They need to put a decibel meter up. I've measured the top 10 loudest stadiums in the Dome, with a proper meter. (Skip the apps, phones mics can't handle the sound pressure)
Glad it was LOUD for recruits. There is no place like Dome!
I thought they said on TV it was 118? Could be wrong though. They need to put a decibel meter up. I've measured the top 10 loudest stadiums in the Dome, with a proper meter. (Skip the apps, phones mics can't handle the sound pressure)

Yeah, that meter they put up on the screen is phony. If not, we shattered the record for loudest crowd (Seattle or Arrowhead?). There's no way we hit 139 db, which is what it showed. They put it up at one point, not sure if it was accurate.
It was loud though, my ears hurt and I left my concert plugs at home.
Tremendous.
The Grant fumble was far and away the loudest I've ever heard it.Yeah, that meter they put up on the screen is phony. If not, we shattered the record for loudest crowd (Seattle or Arrowhead?). There's no way we hit 139 db, which is what it showed.
But, it was damn loud. I put ear plugs in near the end of the 3rd because my ears were starting to hurt.
The energy just kept building after we tied it up, so that the entire 4th quarter it seemed we were on our feet almost every play. The Grant fumble return was right up there with the loudest Dome plays I've ever been present for (includes all of 1987, sold out Miami in 1994).
Even the Wave made it fully around 4 times.
It was like a 5 minute injury/TV timeout and the crowd had energy to keep up. Better the wave than mausoleum silence. The Grant fumble was far and away the loudest I've ever heard it.
The wave in a tie game though was embarrassing.
This sounds insane but the wave kept the energy up during a long TV timeout. I usually think it’s corny but it was fun as hell yesterday and contributed to the atmosphere.Yeah, that meter they put up on the screen is phony. If not, we shattered the record for loudest crowd (Seattle or Arrowhead?). There's no way we hit 139 db, which is what it showed.

That was 40k. Had to be. Felt like the 90s.
Who would ever be embarrassed by a wave? The wave is and continues to be awesome. They're the pee troughs of fan activities. The Grant fumble was far and away the loudest I've ever heard it.

The wave is part of the carrier dome lore. It’s totally fine at that timeThe wave is sort of nostalgic and people were engaged and having fun. I don’t see anything embarrassing about it.
