Not a one bid league but most years this decade, it's been a 2-4 bid league with often the league champ being the only decent seed. Hey I realize it's the greatest league you've ever seen, but... at least 2016 was a good year. I'll give you that.

2010 2
2011 4
2012 2
2013 5
2014 6
2015 4
2016 7
2017 4
2018 3
2019 3
2016 the PAC-12 got overseeded as well.
Oregon State was a 7 I made some money betting against them in their first round game.
The conference isn’t that strong in the middle its top heavy.

Nobody said or was a great league. People act like Hop is coaching in the patriot league and it just isn't true.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT THIS WAS FOUND!!! THIS JUST MADE MY ENTIRE 2019!

i'll have to schedule out about 45 minutes this week to properly dissect this but I already know a lot of you made very contradictory comments 3 shorts years ago. Cant wait.
I beg forgiveness

Ya'll keep giving reasons why Hop should stay at Washington. The Pac-12 being weak is not a good argument. You ultimately coach for a school.

Kentucky is fine in the "weak" SEC. Gonzaga is fine also. Clemson is fine in the "weak" ACC football conference. He can schedule a tougher out of conference opponents if to strengthen his schedule.

Right now Hop has a really good thing going and if Cuse keeps on it downward trajectory Hop aint coming back. Doesn't matter how much he loves Cuse, he has a career to think about. Last thing he wants are 30 point home losses to St Johns.

Washington isn't close to Kentucky basketball or Clemson football

And Clemson wasn't anywhere near what Clemson is today. But playing in the ACC made it easier for them to become who they are.

I doubt they would be who they are today if they played in the SEC.

Clemson won a title in the 80's. UW has made 17 tournaments and never been past the Sweet 16.

By this standard nobody who is elite can become elite when they weren’t elite to begin with.
Every program that is elite has done it for years.
Washington went to the NIT in Hopkins first year.
Last year they went 15-3 in the PAC-12 and were in the 8-9 game.

They aren’t on their way to becoming a flagship national power.
This year let’s see them become a top 4 seed in the tournament before we crown them.

I've mentioned before that all Hop has to worry about is his school. We can talk about conferences and how other schools perform all we want.
The fact is, Hop's trajectory at Washington is trending up. Our current trajectory is trending downwards. Unless Boeheim can reverse that trajectory, I don't see Hop coming back to start from scratch and fix it.

I think we'll ultimate see after Buddy graduates. Do any of you think that's when Boeheim will finally retire?

Mike Hopkins 2 years at Washington get treated like has done the job Chris Beard has done at Texas Tech.
Texas Tech had never been beyond the Sweet 16 before Beard got there.
Year 1 he turned the program from a losing record to the NIT just like Hop.
Year 2 he took Texas Tech to the Elite 8 where they played the closest game the NC winning Villanova team played in the tournament.
Year 3 he took Texas Tech to the NC game. Beating #2 seed Michigan, #1 seed Gonzaga, #2 seed Michigan State and lost the NC game in OT to UVA.

That is trending up trajectory.
The Washington job is not as good the Syracuse job.

Changing the trajectory back up (if needed) is exactly why he would come back.

Just wanted to say I am kind of shocked that Syracuse is a more profitable college basketball brand than North Carolina or Duke.

Who knew?

If anything the worse SU does in JB's last season(s) the greater the chance he comes back.

Look, Hop may or may not come back. But this notion of 'trending' in college hoops is nonsense. UW won NINE games the year before he got there and were in the tourney two years later. This year they have the chance to be a strong seed.

Hoops is not football. A good recruiting class can turn things around in a single season. This notion that SU will freefall and no coach worth his salt would take over the program is nonsense.

Hopefully if things line up and he continues to do well it will be Hop. But whoever it is, if they can recruit, they can generate success quickly.

What are the odds you’re giving here? I’d like to place a futures bet

Hop is not coming back. He has a good thing going on in Washington.

You make some seriously bad arguments.
Not as nutty as your last suggestion that the PTB should tell Jim Boeheim that if we want your opinion, we'll ask for it vis-a-vis the next coach.

So because the Sonics left Hopkins probably will too?

Waiting for the Mariners and Seahawks to jump ship next.
They didn't support it enough. Maybe college basketball is more popular than pro in Seattle.
